No sound on computer

last resorting here but i've been without sound on my comp for over a week now and it is hell. no sound will play through speakers or headphones. anyone had this happened and fixed it? device manager says the drive is working correctly

turn the sound on, problem solved.

Download a new sound driver, usually you can get them from your company's website.

I had that problem and it turned out that it was the computer being confused and thinking it was still plugged into my tv. It fixed itself though.

same here... end of headphones got stuck in the hole and apple said 800 dollars to fix... BULLSHIT

go to control panel and see if its turned on fully. also try to see if its on mute. or what i did when my sound broke was i just took out the sound card, restarted my computer and thenput it back in.
