NO SKIING FOR 6-8 WEEKS

So I thought Id use my first post to relate my wonderful story of how I bought a season pass to Stevens, took easy classes for winter quarter so I could ski all during the week, and basically dedicated my winter to riding and enjoying all that new snow we're getting. Then today I hooked an edge after overrotating on the waterfall, fell forward awkwardly, and now I have an AC separation in my shoulder (where you tear the ligaments that hold your collar bone and shoulder blade together). So no more skiing for 6-8 WEEKS all after a totally freak incident. I dont even think Ive come to grips with how much this sucks yet. But yeah, at least its been a great last three weeks and I hope all you guys at Stevens keep throwin it down, STAY HEALTHY, and I hope I can get back up there with yall in January

PEACE

dude i seperated my shoulder last year the last day i skied. depending on how bad your seperation is you could be back before 6-8 weeks.

i had a fall like that 2 years ago on my birthday while skiing, but i broke my collar bone. they said no skiing for 6-8 weeks. but i had a skiing trip planned and i skied anyways, but i had my sling off by then. just don't pole plant with that arm :p

Ya my ankle hurts real bad, I should probably chill out for a while, but then theres this rale thing at baker.

hmmmmm

Dont be weak, after dislocating my shoulder numerous times I skied throughout last season. But the trick is to get surgery during the summer. If you have a good job like me they will pay for your time off and you can chill all day long for months.
