SO i was just reading on USASA's compeition schedule for Utah that NO SKIERS will be allowed at the KING OF THE WASATCH slopestyle nor HALFPIPE competition. What is going on here? I used to compete in that 5 or 6 years ago, and I wanted to start doing it again, however, skiers are not allowed. Any more info would be great, also, should we protest?

Yeah, last year they didn't allow skiers, but it's i think its more because of space than anything. In highschool we traveled with the snowboard team, and i go a watch them when they come down here now and they said it was because there are too many snowboarders that wanna compete. Back in the day it was always like 10% skiers and 90% snowboarders, it also kinda makes sense because of usasa's history and agenda. they're always gonna favor snowboarders. It sucks cause i took a hiatus the past few years but now i feel like throwing down again. PC just needs to organize there own comp, it is kinda rediculous that there's not a legit slopestyle anywhere around these parts.

Dude, I haven't competed for a few years either and now I am trying to get back into it as well. We need to find some comps

Brighton's comps are all good, but they cant be called a legit slopestyle becuase their only jumps line isn't really big enough and there aren't any rails before/after/in between. I saw on the canyons website that they're doing one in march, but it would be nice if PC stepped up so i wouldn't have to buy a lift ticket.
