No park at next years mountain

So this year I got more into park than last year, but next season i'll be skiing at mount Baker which has no park. Now i'm not complaining about this because Baker gets enough pow to keep me happy, but i'm worried that my park skills may wither away during the season. Any ideas what i can do next year to keep my park skills fresh?

or ski pow and forget what the fuck a park is

id go with the latter
 
id ski pow every day and love my life way more than falling on hard landings and possible nuttings on rails
 
You will become a much, much better skier by staying out of the terrain park for a year. Don't worry about it.
 
Slay pow, do a dub over the baker road gap, get sponsored, get chicks.

But seriously there isn't anything else around with a park?

Their site says they have a park or at least had one. Never been though
 
Im guessing your going to western next year? You can get a pass to Stevens if you need a park fix. Its about 2 hours from campus though. Also Grouse and Seymour have pretty cool parks.
 
Build a backyard rail setup and hit some booters at Baker. Bakers great for that isn't it? I know the Theory 3 crew used to do a ton of their shooting there.

For rail game you can keep a lot of shit on lock if you put some effort into a backyard setup. Plus you can hit it at night when there's no more pow to slay.

The sport is heading toward needing serious $$$. I mean if peoples parents can afford to send then to a summer ski camp for 2 weeks every year that's great, but personally I welcome anything on that try's to engage other demographics in the sport we love.

I hope it catches on. Financially it wouldn't take much to get some of these things up and running. Get a rope tow or old tubing lift, get a regular slope and a park slope. Make a bunch of rails. Charge a small fee that's still affordable(Or make it free if the town is dope) and employ some locals or run it volunteer.

Obviously it's a little easier to build a skatepark but it could still be done as a similar concept. When I was young we used to drive to a free hill so that we could ski. I've been to other small local hills. I haven't been to one that has a park or really seen much of that happening.

Would take much money and in many areas you could easily find people or businesses willing to donate to something like that. Recreation for the kids? Fuck yeah.

I've got a backyard setup at home in seattle, but i'll be going to western so i can't bring it with me. Anyways, backyard setup isn't the same, i really enjoy that park atmosphere

Yeah, not sure what @treebeard has against urban terrain parks, but it reminded me of this quote:

"People who say it can't be done should not interrupt those who are doing it."
 
just hit a shitload of BC booters, thousands of times more fun than park jumps and more difficult. as for rails, well I think you'll see how boring they really are when you're skiing pow all the time. haha
 
Hit the gym and make trips out to breck and train for the x games because skiings all about being the best.
 
I would never ski baker, it's the worst place to go. I wouldn't count on powder either because it only rains. they stopped making a park because a possible eruption so it isn't safe to be on the hill.
 
Definetly stay with the pow, My guess is youll have a lot of natural booters so your jump game will stay

no, I ski much more pow than park no doubt, but i like park as well.
 
Im in washington and I ski baker all the time, just be thankful we got some much snow man. you could try doing some urban on the rails by the base
