No Health Insurence....

I've matched up every symptom for appendicitis. (when your appendix swells and explodes). I don't have health insurance and am trying to decide if I should wait it out and see if it settles or spend the $100 for an appointment, and then possibly a couple hundred more for surgery....

So what would NS do?
 
my appendix exploded on me, i was rushed into surgery. you could die if it is appendicitis dude, and your appendix ruptured
 
By matched, what do you mean? You mean you did an internet search, and found a list of supposed symptoms, and they matched yours?

also, list your symptoms.
 
Symptoms...

-Cramping like pain on lower abdomen.

-The pain hurts more if I have a deep breath or weird movments

-I had diarrhea this morning

-Fuck and now my fever is getting worse

Ya I think its time to call the hospital

 
my appendix was minutes from bursting and believe me, you'll fucking know it. that was some of the most intense pain I've ever been in in my life and I've broken several bones, been shanked, etc.

shit's no joke, dude. i was literally keeled over in a fetal position and unable to move. i was rushed in to surgery. As mentioned, if it bursts, it can kill you so it's not something you want to neglect.

is your life worth a few hundred/thousand bucks?
 
Good decision! Appendices are serious, they run in my family but I've never had one. My great grandpa died when his ruptured.
 
A girl at my school had appendicitis and nearly collapsed in the path between school buildings from the pain. She was rushed into surgery.

Just go get it sorted now man and worry about money later.
 
Rupturing organs are not something to play around with, even if it costs some money up front it's simply not worth it to have your appendix explode inside of you which will cost you a lot more money when you need an ambulance to rush you to the hospital for an emergency surgery. Good decision going to the doctor!
 
Good news. The Blood test came back negative for appendicitis, plus he said I would be in alot more pain if it was really inflamed. The doctor said the pain must be a strained muscle near my abdomen. Only ran me about $130.

Motrin, rest, and ganja should do it.

I agree though that medical debt is infuriating and functionally serves to limit access to care if thats what you are trying to say.
 
I just had the same problem and swore it was appendicitis, went to the hospital, they checked and it turned out to be an ulcer from doing too much cocaine hahaha. But seriously I did the tests on webMd and I was literally keeled over in pain, just my two cents. Its up to you.
