Im lookin at a 1990 Nissn 300zx 5 spd(non turbo) with a little under 140,000 miles on it, he wants 2,000 for it but I cud prbly offer him a little less and he'd take it. I was lookin at Talons but they seem like more of a hassle than what ther worth and 300zx's seem to be good cars. Should I get it?

I wouldn't do it, I was in your exact situation, I wanted an old Z, it was in mint condition. It had the talking car option and everything, super dope car. Look under the hood, there is so much shit jam packed in there just waiting to go out on you. That's why I passed, it just wouldn't be worth fixing, and you know a car that old is going to start failing left and right. I still kinda wish I had gotten it because it was so cool, leather, t-top, all that shit. But in reality it would have been more headache than fun. If you're set on it, I remember it didn't didn't even make a dent in my parents insurance premiums when we checked, so u could use that if the rents are hesitant.

yea if you are going for the sports car insurance, get the turbo, i knew a kid in HS who had one and he did burnouts all over town.

if you get one you have to get the tt, no questions asked

n/a one is a no go

by the way, i was in your same exact situation a couple of months ago, and i still wish i found a tt..

p.s. nissan = not as expensive to fix as some other cars such as vw's..

A 1990 jetta will be much cheaper to fix than a 90 300zx.

Everyone says that 300zx are a pita to work on, but I haven't ever worked on one so I can't say for sure. And they are heavy. How do you expect to fit you and your buddies ski gear in one anyway?

Ya Id like the TT but my budget is like..2000 so, I didnt think it was to bad a deal personally, wanted your guys' opinion tho.

the turbo ones are sick but they are so much worse reliability wise. get a tt if you want a weekend car. get the n/a if you are gonna DD it

no bro mkII vw's are pretty simple bro. A lot more simple than a 300zx bro. Parts are cheap too bro.

i hope you know a bit about cars if you buy a 300zx. an oil change on it would take over 15 minutes just to get access. its a nice car, ive wanted one for so long, but you have to remove so much shit under the hood to do the easiest of replacements or tuneups.

Hmm I think you should just build something yourself. I did and it works great for me.
