Niseko housing

Anyone got any tips on finding housing for the season in Niseko/Kutchan? I've been hired for the season and my job comes with subsidized accommodation, but my friend got hired at a different company so we wouldn't be able to stay together. If possible we'd like to live together, but if not we both have staff accommodation to fall back on. Any tips on finding a place are welcome

What’s the need to stay together? Why not have separate places in town?

It's not the end of the world if we don't stay together, it'd just be nice living with someone I know

People seem to find a place to stay without too much hassle. I got there at the end of November last season and it was still pretty quiet at that point. Try and live in Hirafu if you can

You were able to find a place when you showed up at the end of November?

no youll need a car. they might have shuttles to niseko but its a bit far from the village

Not true. If you live in Hirafu you can walk to the lifts and ski the whole of Niseko from there. You can also get busses from niseko to Rusutsu and Kirroro
