In line with our new range dropping in the next month or so, we've opened up a contest for the ladies to win a place on the Nine22 team! Ladies - we want to see your edits, and Newschoolers, we'd love you to help us by voting! So you don't have to read it all twice, here's where to check it all out...

Whilst we're talking team, and for those who don't already know, we'd like to make a quick announcement regarding the new riders joining the Nine22 team for this season, and we couldn't be more stoked!! You can check out their profiles on the website also.
Chris Laker, Giray Dadali, and Tim Gage, all from the USA, Jerome Lambert from France, and Paal Saatvedt from Norway!! Welcome aboard!!
 
Me and my friend want to make an edit for her so she can enter, the deadline is just too soon. We didn't do any filming last year, and will be filming during the month of December. If you are able to extend it till the January 14th, I'm sure more girls will put stuff together
 
Hes got a good point, a lot of people cant even start skiing until December so the deadline is kinda early.
 
Yeah we hear ya guys! We were thinking people could put together something with footy they already had, but after some deliberation we think you're right - those putting in entries will want to put up their most recent/best footy. We'll extend the deadline and keep you posted on the new date!! We want to see as many entries as possible, so we'll do what it takes to ensure that!!
 
Hahaha! Date has been changed to the 29th of Jan, so plenty of time to get an edit in, film a fresh one, whatever - get shredicated ladies!!
 
Looking forward to the entries to this one - let's see shredding from the women's perspective. Slash some December pow and win some gear!

Isabelle - we're looking into it and we'll get back to ya. I don't see it being a problem, as long as you don't have two entries. :)
 
Isabelle. If you need to have an entry removed so you can submit another just email help@newschoolers.com with a link to your old entry and it can be removed.
 
cool as im headin to BC soon so i might put something together. how good u reakon u gotta be?i can do 3s n rails n learnin 270;s but u r probly lookin for a higher standard?
 
^ Thanks dude, spot on!! Whilst the goal is to find a girl for the team, ultimately we want to encourage the women's side of the sport as a whole - beginning with involvement and participation! The more entries there are the more incentive there is for girls to step it up and have a crack!
 
Exactly the reason why I entered,

my edit is shitty cause I was injured and stuff,

but I hoped that if girls saw my video they would try and make a better one,

so they would try harder tricks, and so they learn :D
 
Entries simply have to be in by the 29th of Jan, then voting takes place over the course of the following week or so!! And just to clarify, you can put in an entry and if you film/make something better before the closing date, you can just hit up one of the mods and they can switch it out for you - as long as you end up with only one entry and it's in by the 29th! Stoked to see so much interest, keep spreading the word!!
 
Few solid entries in already, and lots of chicks working away to get something up!! Just wanted to reiterate that the description for the videos does mention that we would like to see something that shows another side of you - even if it's just a glimpse (skate, party, dance, whatever you're into). So make your edit as well rounded as possible - I know the NS community will want to see entertaining edits with a bunch of different aspects. Remember you have time to re-edit too, as the cut off date is now the 29th! We just don't want anyone to miss out on votes because they haven't given us everything we asked for!!
Anyway, keep it up chicks!! And for everyone else, stay shredicated!!
 
Ya cuz we have to know your a cool and down to earth chick who we can hangout with as part of the crew along with rippin on the slopes and spreading the Nine22 stoke

Backcountry is epic!!! I mean, it's all relative, and diversity is the best, but we will certainly be stoked on backcountry edits for this comp for sure!!!
