Nikon to canon lens converter? Yes or no.

I had d5100 and sold it and bought a t3i. I still have 3 old Nikon lens my dad gave me. Has anyone used lens convertErs? Would it be worth it to buy or should I just try to sell the old lens? And do cheaper lens adapters ($30) work or do I need to spend more like 100$ to get one that works?
 
Get a Fotodiox adapter on Amazon if they are manual Nikkor lenses.

It costs 15 bucks for the adapter and it works perfectly. I use a Nikkor 50mm on my Canon body.

 
if your nikon lenses have a manual set aperture ring, you should be fine. pretty much anything from the D line and before should work.
