To anyone who is a Nikon Pro Service member could I get a recommendation?

I have a friend who is part of Canon's but that wont work. I guess its pretty easy to do; i have stuff published on Skibowl's website as well as newschoolers updates. I guess that makes me qualified.

So if anyone is a member and would like to recommend me that would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Some of my stuff for your enjoyment..

Hey man, i think your photography is great!i just bought a D90 few months ago and love it!GO out there and get it boss!Good luck

Both Nikon and Canon have pretty much the same program. From what I understand, if something breaks and you need a replacement lens they'll send you one until they need it back. and other advantages like that.

Its essentially like being sponsored by the company

So I looked into Canons, and the only thing is you need to be a full time photographer. 51%< of your income needs to be from. I guess I could lie...

Haha, not to be a dick but you don't just say hey I want a membership.

You have to be a full time pro using their gear.

It's cool to have stuff published on NS and such but that doesn't warrant a Nikon Pro Membership.

We're talking like national geographic photographers and such, full time pros.

not everyone has to be national geographic status. there are plenty of people who are wedding photographers, residential, medical, etc that need access to the service.

I know I'm not pro, but as a college student with no money this would get me a step closer by providing me with better gear. I'm shooting on a D90. Its not easy having people take you seriously when you're trying to get your stuff out there.

I would say more than 50% of my income is from photography but it is all under the table so I can't really take advantage of it.

being a canon CPS member you get cheaper prices on their expensive stuff. $2300 lenses for $2000 and stuff like that. But most stuff that's not really expensive doesn't even have a CPS price.

To be a canon member note that you have to have at least 2 1-d bodies (or 50d) and 3 L series lenses...so that $15,000-$40,000 depending on what glass and bodies you get.

Very true and i understand but you have to have at least three Nikkor lenses and two pro bodies...

We're talking D2xs and D3's

I understand what you're trying to go for but you have to be a full time photographer & NPS sponsor to prove it.

You don't just say hey, I'd love discounts on all my nikon gear, hit me up.

Things don't work like that.
