i have a nikon camera. I shoot sports and lots of kinds of sports. I was wondering if anyone recommended any particular lenses that they liked. i shoot action sports such as skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, biking, etc.... so i need a good lens for action.

Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 would be your best bet as it works really well in low light conditions and is very versatile in length when shooting. Although I'm a Canon shooter, I use the sister lens to it, the Canon 70mm-200mm f/2.8 L IS and it rarely leaves my body.

^ yep.
My favorite lenses that I use are:
70-200mm 2.8 VR
10.5mm 2.8 Fisheye
12-24 F/4 or the new 2.8

You can get a past generation 80-200mm 2.8 for less than the new 70-200mm but that's pretty much the lens for sports photog
of course there's the 200, 400 primes but those are very expensive in comparison.

Thanks for the help their Jordan! I don't shoot Nikon, so I just know of the basic comparison's just from heresay.

I totally agree with you here. If your looking for an optically similar, but cheaper option, check out the 80-200 f2.8. Its an older lens but it still works pretty well for what your looking for.
