Nike ski boot trolling at it's finest

I don't think this a troll. This is a legit marketing move by nike and full tilt. Just like their level 1 collab and the sad part is these boots will fly off the shelfs by idiots

that not very sad as long as your not the idiot who buys it. $$$$ for full tilt to (hopefully) spend on their athletes and improving their design

I'm not going to buy them because i don't believe that nike should be able to buy their way into the ski industry while ON3P is strugling to secure sponsorship. It's not fair to smaller brands. Although i guess nike can also afford larger advertising projects and attract more people and money to our sport so i guess it's a two edged sword

does ft actually have a deal with nike? i thought those were just tw pros molded after some j's?

i don't really think nike could take anybody away from the good ski brands, at least for now anyway, i wouldn't trust anything they would make for skiing besides clothes, which i still wouldn't buy.

I was using ON3P as an example of an endemic ski brand who has raised their reputation through the ski community via good products and inovative designs. While nike has just bought their way into the community by poaching gus, nikolas and other well respected athletes

I don't think Nike has any intentions of making skis, so I'm not sure that analogy with ON3P quite works here. I get what you are trying to say, but welcome to capitalism.

I wasn't saying nike is going to make skis, just look at my previous reply and you'll see what I mean.

Compare a boot brand to ON3P, I fail to see any equivalent. Nike can, and will buy into the ski boot market, I think the way that they are doing it is smarter and better off financially for both Nike and Full Tilt.

I don't think you really have to worry. Nike has been making outerwear for quite a while and they haven't even come close to taking over that market. Not to mention these are just a colab between nike and full tilt.

I don't think the problem would be current skiers making the switch over. The problem would be newer skiers who are jaded to believe that everything coming from the big companies is the best and wouldn't even give smaller ski companies a second thought.

They look sick. But i also saw some picture of supposed "Nike Ski Boots" that were Lange shells with a Swoosh on the side. Somethings fishy.

Everyone remember the "Sammy Carlson Pro model" from a couple months ago...LMFAO. 702658.jpeg

There is going to be no Nike ski boots. Just ski boots with Nike stickers.

lil wayne already said that he's planning on buying a pair too for off hill use

I've heard these (next year's TWALLs) are really sick and they made more improvements on the boot for next year, wonder what they did

So yeah am I the only one who thinks these look dope? I mean if I walked into a ski shop and saw these I would want them.

The way I look at it: nike is a huge brand with plenty of money to support riders and to propel the sport

I was saying that they are buying their way into the ski community just like they did with snowboarding and surfing and skating etc... the analagy of ON3P and nike was about how the roots of the company were established etc, i've seen people commenting they need these boots as well as the nike dragon collab where they need the nike goggles over the dragon and the list continues

It took them years to finally make a good set of irons. So idk how long it could take them to start making good ski stuff. Maybe they will be killer who knows.

True that. They only reason they signed Rory was cause of all the Money they gave him, not the quality of the clubs.

in regard to skateboarding that is absolutely wrong. nike was one of the originals in skating, other brands copied them, not the other way around. look at the sb dunk, that design has been around forever and copied by everyone and is still immensely popular.

I think if nike does team up with an all-ready existing boot company they could actually make some sweet designs though

I feel Nike was around in Skateboarding in the early 90's. They stopped making skate shoes and then jumped back on board with P-Rod and started Nike SB. They were in skateboarding around when DC started.

That's cool, but we should also become communist and spread money between everyone, and make sure every business has a chance.

Sorry bro, but it doesn't work that way, it's kill or be killed. It depends on the products they make: if they are good, there is no reason to support "core" companies for the pure reason that they have been supporting the ski industry for longer. Just saying, not to hate on FT or ON3P or anything.
