Nike situation has me thinking....

Super unrelated to the whole Kapernick situation but It had me thinking. Ever since they dropped skiing and snowboarding from their action sports program I have totally stopped buying their products. Bums me out cuz they do have some cool shoes and other stuff but if they don't support skiing I cant support them. Anyone else feel the same way?
 
This is so fucking funny. People are burning their shoes/clothes in a big pile. My friend just posted on facebook his shoe size hahaha he wants the shoes instead of them getting burned. He also said he would donate anything that was given to him to the homeless if it doesn't fit

Yea seeing it all blow up on facebook, insta etc is fucking hilarious. I dont get why people are burning shit? If you dont like the product just give it away? dont just waste it..
 
I'm sick and fucking tired of this dumb ass motherfucking shit. "I could care less" makes no fucking sense as a phrase meant to express how little you care. If you could care less about something then you're saying that you do in fact care because you could care less. By saying that you could care less the only possibility you're ruling out is that you don't care which is exactly what you were trying to say in the first place.

why? thats not their target market, you wont wear a brand outside of skiing because they dont support skiing?

same ever since tony the tiger stopped skiing on the front cover of frosted flakes boxes, i stopped supporting kellog cereals

i just didnt like the way they exited the ski/snowboard market after having supported it for a time. Its a personal preference. I wear plenty of other brands that dont support skiing but not ones that had supported it then said fuck this and left.

Nike signed a bunch multi million dollar contracts, specifically given to olympic hopefuls leading up to sochi, then dropped all of them the following september once the hype had faded. The way I see it, Nike saw it as an investment, not an opportunity to better the sport... What else did you expect from a hundred billion dollar company? Did you expect any of the money you spent on Nike products to actually go into skiing? Nike never even made any ski specific products, other than a pair of carbon nordica collabs, that I'm pretty sure were only ever given to Sammy Carlson.

If a company is publicly traded, it's probably not core.

So you're saying just because some company doesn't support a niche fringe minority sport like skiing/snowboarding you wouldn't buy their clothing. What a terrible reason to not buy Nike products.

Do you even realize the amount of damage your doing to the company by posting a hateful message about them on newschoolers. There's a little boy in Bangladesh slaving away, bloodied hands, sweat dripping. He probably won't eat dinner tonight because you and ur friends won't buy a fresh pair of Nikes.

Nike sucks, their products are just not good, I don’t care about their politics that’s just marketing, like the shape of their shoes is just a monstrosity
