Nico could be one of the pipe goats, switch dub 14 to back to back dub 16s?? Great for him and awesome he can do that, but hopefully Hunter Hess or one of these other younger guys steps it up or pipe skiing might become even more dormant. Hopefully that Ben Fethke kid to get that double bone flip locked and put a run around it lol...

On the other hand, maybe if Nico dominates to that next next level of like Brady level of trophies it could give him a new level of recognition bigger than any skier outside of maybe Gus has every gotten over time...
 
Some of the best pipe comps were 10-15 years ago when tanner or simon won every year, but imo the top like 5 runs in xgames this year were all very close to each other, nico is by far the most tech but that doesn't necessarily dictate the final score.
 
new zealand skiers have had access to a private pipe all summer pretty much. That's how he kept the dub 16 under wraps from everyone
 
Side note idk how the fuck that last run put him in first. He missed his mute on his 3rd trick. If you watch the slowmo he was just grabbing his toe piece…

ya I feel that, but it would be hard to imagine nico not podiuming maybe any event in the next 2-3 years if he does back to back 16s with grabs, throw in that kang and that switch dub, doesn't even need the switch 14 unless maybe its xgames or olympics...
