NHL Season starts

joined. i was watching sportscenter this morning and they had the infamous "ovechkin vs crosby" qustion. who will go further this year? what are your thoughts?
 
Joe Sakic retirement and Avs opening night, so pissed i'm not going to be at the Pepsi Center tonight.
 
I am more excited about this season any that have happened lately. SO much movement this summer, especially the rebuild of the leafs. Can't wait to watch these guys. Leafs with argueably the best defense in the league, gustavsson to take over toskala once he shits the bed, and kessel, stalberg, along with blake, grabovski, pony, stajin to put pucks in the net, I think i can see the post season. well, i hope. Im calling it now leafs beat out habs for 8th spot on the east. Cant wait to see komasarek demo who ever he hated on the habs tonight.
 
39 years, 0 cups. this year isnt the canucks year, and the next 10 dont look good either.

Hopefully the wangs do good this year again. But ya the leafs should be a fun team to watch for the first time in years.
 
Who do the leafs have on defense? The flames are looking pretty good this year for d too, phaneuf, regehr with the addition of bouwmeester, cory sarich, giordano. And sutter isnt going to play kipper every night like keenan did we actually have a backup goalie who is going to play so kipper isnt drained for the post season.
Oh and the olympics this year, stoked!

Too bad we were too hurt to play well in the playoffs this year, lets see what we can pull off this year! Nothing like watching a Dynasty in action.
 
Nucks getting crushed. Doesn't help my watching experience when the colour guy is a complete flames homer who can't even pronounce "Kevin Bieksa".

yeahh.... the first pe'riod was not nice.. but the game progressivly got better. Its too bad Hank couldnt lift that puck for once. And Shiro missed that seam pass.

Kevin weekes was sooo bad. Granted it was his first call... it reminded me instantly of Grapes ( Don Cherry) when i heard the infamous BIES-KA... instant face palm.
 
-3, 3 shots, missing wide open nets... yeah not a good start to that one.
