NHL Playoff Predictions!

What are you talking about? The Buffalo game was a rout. The Mtl game was double OT with multiple lead changes. No comparison.

I still don't know who's going to win any of the series, but I think Colorado is in the best position.
 
the montreal game was one of the best examples of great hockey that ive seen in a long time, the first OT was so intense

as for the west.. i couldn't give a shit, but i'm a fan of the swedish line on detroit and the thornton/cheechoo duo on san jose
 
the dallas colorado game last night was crazy. avs up 3-0 and the stars come back to go up 4-3 and then with less than 2 minutes the avs tie it up and then win in OT!

Well, that's it right there.

A team which solidly dominates every game and still ends up tied, going to overtime, and all of that... it's hard not to blame the goaltending. Sure, some bad bounces contributed to the goals, and there was no puck luck for the wings. Sure, he was never terrible in any game, really. But in the end, he wasn't good enough, and Manny Legace did not make the big saves. The 2nd Pisani goal was a good example... he needed to come through there, and he should've. But he didn't.

Well, they screwed it up again. And I find myself having to say "Go Buffalo".

Such a disappointment.
 
That was GNARLY. Even though I was rooting for Detroit, that was the best finish I've seen to a playoff game, no, series, in a very long time. Wow.
 
Wow...I don't even watch hockey that often and I was off my seat for the whole 3rd period...fucking SOLID finish for edmonton.
 
I'm so disappointed they didn't put Yzerman on the ice at the end... it might be his last shift, and we all remember the goal vs the Blues from the point... if he could've done it again?

Man. I hope he comes back next year.
 
They had a shot of him on the bench.

I've been saying all series he should be on there instead of Williams at the point. Williams has a big shot but he didn't get one on goal from there all series long.

I'm really rooting for Anaheim now... can you imagine 5-6-7-8 all winning? I don't believe anything like that has ever happened...
 
Not really. I wouldn't watch it. I'm sorry, I'm all for Canadian teams and all, but they're both boring as fuck to watch.
 
i hate calgary and i hate edmonton even more. id like to see a battle of california. heres hoping anaheim beats calgary then colorado and san jose beats edmonton.

I see San Jose kicking Colorado's ass in the 2nd round, and then Edmonton beating Calgary, especially if Calgary continues to not be able to score and Roloson continues to own for Edmonton.

I can see San Jose in the NHL finals for sure.

They are Loaded... Solid Defense, 2 goaltenders who could start on any team out there: Nabokov and Toskala.. the likely MVP and Points leader: Thornton and the Goals leader: Cheechoo. Not to mention, Patrick Marleau is a savage who plays 2nd scoring line yet still owns bigtime and can throw up points like no tomorrow. Plus they have outright won what.. 12 of their last 14?

They are either hot, or they are freakin hot...
 
Im gonna agree with you on the exception of the Sens (even though I dont like them). It seems like most if not all of Canadian teams try that retarded dump and chase and they all seem to have a low puck recovery rate. What I do like about Montreal is their stellar penalty killing set up, they put together the box but unlike the leafs they actually take stabs at players with the puck. That to me is good hockey.

A dump-in and hard forechecking is the most exciting part about the playoffs. If your team has a good back check, the transition leads to breakaways and 2on1's all the time too.

avs wont win with theo in nets...appart from one great game his been dubious

so many good team in the west are gonna score on him SJ, Calgary or Ducks.

Looks like NJ is gonna take the East...god I hate them
 
how could any of you from canada say for a second you hope edmonton and calgary lose

show some support for the countrys number one sport... edmonton vs calgary would be the most intense series in the past decade. not to mention how good it would be for canadian hockey

jd may you should be ashamed. anaheim can barely sell out their arena for playoffs, whereas you have two cities where people lineup for standing room and party until there is no tomorrow just to win first round.
 
Dont care about Canadian Teams.

Here in San Jose, we sell out our arena on a nightly basis.. lots of mexican fans in there, its so badass.

Prepare to see a few top hockey prospects to be coming out of San Jose or something one of these days...
 
sabres play the senators. ottawa will win, because when we played them with havlat in the lineup earlier in the year, we won quite handily each time. without havlat, it was a split.

i called it on page one of this thread devils had the most momentum going into the playoffs and that will continue i predict a stnaley cup final between the avs and devils devils win it in 5or6
