NHL Players React to LeBron's Leg Cramp

I can kind of level with that, but when you train all the live long day - erry day, and are being paid butt loads of money to do exactly just that.. I dunno.. I guess I just expect more from them.

I'm not saying that hockey players aren't tougher than basketball players but I understand about the cramp. Senior year in high school I got a cramp during track practice. I tried to just run through it but that led to me pulling my hamstring and I was out for almost two months. On the other side I once got a major calf cramp in the middle of a soccer game same year. I was hobbling for the next five minutes but it dulled to the point where I could walk normally but still feel it. It's up to the player to judge how serious it is.

And don't talk shit about basketball players and injuries. Jordan playing with the flu, Kobe playing with broken fingers, Dejuan Blair has no ligaments left in his knees, Sean Elliott with kidney disease, people play with broken noses all the time (don't say "but they wear a mask" because hockey players do too. I understand why they do because a little rubber puck can do a lot more damage than an elbow but then again an elbow can do some serious damage.) Every sport has their injuries. Hell even golf has gutsy performances (Tiger playing with a bad leg) and people skipping because of injuries (Tiger not playing because of bad leg). Some play through it (Demarcus cousins takes more elbows to the face than anyone I've seen and has spent more time on the court with tissues in his nose than without) and some don't in fear of worsening the injury.

Moral of the story: Don't be an elitist. Different sports, different types of players, If you're so tough then why don't you go play basketball with a calf cramp and tell me how it goes?

Maybe it's something about hockey... but any cramp or, really any injury that I ever sustained while wearing hockey pads was a lot easier to overcome than those I sustained playing basketball or running cross country or playing soccer.

Maybe there's something about pads and a stick that makes hair grow on your testicles, and you just give less fucks.

I had the same experience. I thought my skates would make the cramp worse but every time I cramped up it went away pretty quickly. Maybe it was the ice haha?

Rugby also has the 2nd best fights in sports (that aren't supposed to be about fighting), hockey is of course 1st.

You don't see basketball or soccer players getting into full on brawls and not getting suspensions.

Hell in high school I kicked the living shit out of a guy for laying a cheap shot on my little brother, like had to leave the game shit kicked out of him. I got 10min in the sin bin. Any other sport (than hockey) that's at least a 3 game suspension.
