NFL Star Adrian Peterson Charged With Child Abuse

what are your thoughts?

i just dont even know how you could punish a four year old like that...what could have the kid possibly done that deserved that?

Don't worry though he'll be playing on sunday. so it looks like you can beat your kids just not your wife. thanks for answering that question NFL.

Did the actual "abuse" take place in 2012?

oh right that makes it ok.

Ok right because thats exactly what i was trying to say...

This shit happened almost 3 years ago, my question is why is attention to it only being paid now?

the black community has a serious problem with violence. it's not ok.

lol, someone watches too much mainstream TV... You're a goon if you actually think its just the black community, violence has always occurred and won't stop in any culture, violence is a basic human instinct in my opinion. The bottom line is he was disciplining his kid in a way that not that long ago was widely used, nobody has the right to tell him how to discipline his kids in this situation.

The incident that he just got indicted for happened in May of this year.

Honestly, he went too far with it and what he did was pretty fucked up, especially to a 4 year old. That being said, I think his intentions were good, and had no intention of maiming his kid. He was just parenting the way his parent's raised him.

He doesn't need jail time, he needs therapy and parental guidance courses.

you're so fucking dumb

and the NFL continues it's march towards being one step away from being a prison league.

It's too bad that in such a giant business and huge sport, one of the biggest factors that must now be taken into consideration is the criminal history/tendencies of a potential player.

Not that any sport or athletes have ever shown themselves to be the brightest bunch, it's still too bad that so many players waste skill and opportunity.

There are plenty of things that were once common practice and are now considered barbaric.

I don't watch football. But from a child abuse standpoint, there is a difference between disciplining your child and leaving lash marks from a stick. Get real.

Yeah sure, whatever you say. Did they leave lash scars? The picture of the child is in his underwear so I'm uncomfortable posting the pictures of the evidence.

no need to post it but thats what i meant, no psychical discipline should ever leave marks, thats much too far. if AP doesnt understand that he is pure muscle and that his strength at its low end is enough to very seriously harm a child let alone his own then i do not see him fit to be a father or play in a public sport enjoying the finest things in life.
