this year they are holding the pro bowl in miami for the first time before the super bowl to draw more attention to the game

lets be honest most of the pros don't go all out in this game. and there are some serious mistakes in the line ups this year. for example randy moss isint even on reserves.

The pro bowl sucks. Its hard to put together a rec football game and expect pro's to risk there 6 year carear on a meaningless game

terrible idea in my opinon.... while its drawing more attention to the game itself, honestly nobody cares about the game itself... players only care if they get on the team and after that they dont wanna play... and would anyone that is going to the super bowl play in the game?..... nope, so there goes the 2 best teams players....

good PR move for the NFL i guess. i mean who actually watches the pro bowl anyway?

also to note is that players on Super Bowl teams cant play in the game.

randy moss actually has 13 TDs, which leads all the nfl in receiving touchdowns. hes also 7th in the league in yards. how the fuck does brandon marshall make the pro bowl, when he is 11th in the league in yards an has 10 tds?!

thats some serious bullshit right there

ok im not even going to be polite in this one.

youre an idiot.

im smarter than you.

Randy Moss is awesome.

the only bad thing about having the pro bowl before the super bowl is the fact that the people in the super bowl will be left out

i have always liked the pro bowl...although i do think its stupid.

if i were paid 10 million dollars a year and got asked to play in a game for "fun" i could still get hurt... career= fucked

no one cares about the probowl, the teams should just be announced and players awarded. the actual game is pointless.

The even better question is how the hell does wes welker make the pro bowl over randy moss? thats got to be a joke.

cause wes welker has been the pats MVP, leads the league in receptions by a mile even though hes missed 2 games, and is the best weapon ever

he was a beast this year, better than moss, but they are still both boss.

It has already been said: the pro bowl doesn't mean shit. The game itself, that is. It's just a fancy golden star for the players to have. Oh shit, so and so is a FIVE time pro bowler? Must be good...

Nobody watches that shit, and the players dont play in that shit, ESPECIALLY before the super bowl? Never helped having the game in hawaii for 30 years. Way to kill the buzz...

So?..Most of his receptions are glorified hand offs and he wouldn't get half of them if moss wasn't on the team.

leads the league in YAC. one of the quickest players in the nfl. best 3rd down receiver in the nfl

and he has one of the lowest if not the lowest YPC of any starting WRs.

Im not saying hes not good but Moss is far better and he is the reason the offense succeeds. And he wide receivers in TDs, how does he get snubbed?

No offense but........you are all morons. Wes Welker has 122 catches, which is 21 more than any other reciever. He has 1336 recieving yards, second most in the NFL. He also averages 11 yards per catch, meaning everytime he touches the ball he gets a first down. In my opinion, he is easily the best possesion reciver in the NFL. When the Patriots need yards they go to Welker everytime and he always produces.

Having the pro bowl before the super bowl is retarded. One, no one watchs it anyway so it has benefit to the NFL of having it before hand. Two, none of the players actually work hard, and the AFC will win like always anyway. And three, there still is a chance of someone getting injured, no doubt in mind someone does get banged up, and with it being the pro bowl, the chances that that player is in the Super Bowl is highly likely based on the fact usually the best teams go to the Super Bowl, and arguably* the best players go to the Pro Bowl. Randy Moss is the best reciever in the NFL right now, based on stats alone, not even counting his past records etc. He has 13 TD's which leads the league for recievers, and who ever said thats less than 1 per game, your right, but if you have 1 TD per game your a beast, and deserve to go to the Pro Bowl, but no one has that stat right now. The reason Moss doesn't have as many as say in 2007 is because the patriots have been using Wes Welker a lot more this season, and dividing up the receptions between all their recievers.

GO PATRIOTS!

I hate this decision. Sydney Rice can't play because he's dedicated to a Super Bowl season so he's not going. He deserved it in my eyes.

i agree with the last part. but still, tom brady would blow anywhere else. every patriot that shines with the patriots is a product of bill belichick. sure randy moss was a hall of famer before he got to new england, but 23 tds in his first year here toward the end of his career? that just further proves belichick is the best coach in the nfl by far. that doesnt take away from what the players do though. you cant just say just because wes welker is good in new england, and wouldnt be good anywhere else, hes not deserving

You're wrong 90% of his routes are dig routes over the middle, or out routes not quite in the flat but not deep either. This is one of the most dangerous areas for recievers, even if they might not be covered so tightly.

How many first downs does wes get for us because he's aware and can somehow see the yellow line on the field when running his route?

He's always there, in the perfect short curl, short dig, slant, or short out. We only screen to him every once in a while.

i was asking questions about canada, so what made you think that i thought i knew everything about canada. you took those questions offensively and there was no need for that.

and typical masshole? i am originally from portland, me.

this makes the pro bowl even more worthless nobody is gonna want to get injured before the super bowl nobody is even gonna try.

wes welker just went down in the final game of the season...thoughts on sitting starters also?
this is HORRIBLE news for the patriots

lol are you fucking shitting me? desean jackson?! desean jackson's only "skill" is running in a straight line fast. he cant run other routes for shit. id like to see him try to go over the middle, or juke and evade players like welker

welker on the other hand is one of the best route runners in the nfl. theres a reason why teams focus on him and he still averages over 9 rec a game you fuckin idiot. he has a much higher football IQ than jackson; he knows where to find soft spots in coverages, and will beat anyone in man coverage

if you knew jack shit about football you would know even randy moss is a horrible route runner, much like desean jackson. but unlike jackson, moss actually has hands and other skills too

speaking of welker by the way... the pats prepared for this. they cloned him earlier this year- his name is julian edelman

your both a bunch of homers.

dude referencing a nfl commentator means jack shit. half of those dudes are are functioning retards.

welker is a beast. i know this because we have to play the pats 2 times a year and welker kills it for sure.will say though anytime hes injured its a good thing haha. i nothing but respect for his skills though. only reason i hate him is cuz hes on the pats.

desean jackson is just a kid making a break this season and its really unfair to compair him to welker.

man shut up, you know nothing and your just blabbering on because you probably like the eagles and hes your number 1 reciever...well wes isnt our number one, hes our number two and read on to see some actual stats
wes is the only reciever EVER to have 3 years with 110 catches in a row, not to mention he missed MANY games this year...lets see you bust out some actual stats you fool, not YOUTUBE highlight videos, wes welker was also just announced on the NCAA team of the decade as a kick returner, which i recall desawn also returning kicks, yet wes was better...and hes white...

are you mentally retarded? there was not one instance in those vids where desean jackson planted a foot and made a guy miss. and youre saying that since hes only been in the league 2 years, he hasnt learned how to run routes well yet? so how can he be better than welker then? youre a fuckin idiot
