Next season... snow?

So this year has been pretty shitty for the snow on average, el nino or whatnot. I've done some searching but cant really come up with anything, is there any "forecasts" for next season?
 
im just going to assume its going to suck just as bad. that way if im right then i wont care as much but if im wrong ill be fucking stoked
 
i actually just learned about this in bio class, there's some sort of storm system type thing that gathers every 50 years or so and comes up from mexico. it blocks all the snow from getting any further east than the sierra nevadas. it can be there for just a year and then be gone, but sometimes it stays there for as much as a decade, so all we can do is pray.
 
depends on where you live, in the east we have gotten loads of snow. but ive tried to look it up and its damn near impossible to find info on that stuff
