Next generation of helmet cams

I think this is going to be great. There was a 360 degree video I saw awhile back that was unreal. I think even I could make a decent edit with this.

I typed something up, than realized it was actually the future of pov/action cams and decided it would be better not to share.

this 360 thing is just a novelty distraction. That is all.

What the fuck did I just watch?!??

the reason i think it would be dope is because you could get so many angles out of it. you could ride next to somebody and not have to stare at them to get shots of them... you could train a jump and get footage of somebody in front of you and somebody behind you... and POV footage of switch skiing and forwards skiing in the same run too. and think of all the gapers eating shit that would be caught on tape

It would be really cool if you could pan a video while it was playing. Just allowing you to zoom in and out and turn around without a cut and with one camera would be interesting.

I was thinking more for making edits, just being able to make your own panning sequence in the editing software.

ya thats what i find more interesting i think interactive edits are a gimmick but i think all the angles and different ways you could edit with 360 by 150 degrees of film could be super cool given the right software. filming would take a whole lot less effort and produce a ton more cool shots imo

until there is a medium to play it properly on, this wont make too much sense imo.

then, even if there was a 360° TV, i am not sure what you would do with it. i mean, would people appreciate that increased reality and prefer to look over their shoulders in cinema?

if this was truly the "future" of helmet cams we would be talkin 1620+ degree cameras. GTFO with your gaper 360 bitchcam.
