Newschoolers Secular Worldview Paper

Hey Newschoolers, I have to write a paper in my university worldview class on secular worldview and I thought you guys could help me out. A secular worldview is something, some view that is similar to religion yet is not religious. Capitalism, environmentalism, humanism and even sports like soccer can be considered secular worldviews because they have themes, meeting, almost god like figures and symbols. My paper is going to be on the secular view of Newschoolers and skiing, so far I have Tom Wallisch as a god like figure as well as symbols like the Llama head and spork. Any more that you guys could add describing how skiing is religion-like would be awesome, even referring me to previous threads, thanks!

Oh, a serious university paper? Great idea writing about Newschoolers! After all, this is a ski forum, not a joke forum.
 
freestyle skiing is kindof like the church, there's different groups with essentially the same goalhesh skinny jeans jibbers

thug tall tee park rats

clothes that actually fit comp skiers

we tend to identify with one group or another but in the end we all just want to ski in the park. however when there's pow we all unite, take off our many layers of cotton and go shred the mountain.

i hate this analogy tho cuz i hate the church

Its not a paper just on newschoolers, the paper is on secular worldview and fandom, half of the paper is fandom within sports. I think newschoolers is a prime source for people that are fans of skiing and I am suposed to include anything that can be seen as rituals or other things relating to religion. Maybe once Im done Ill do a full report on just newschoolers just for the forum.
