I'm pretty sure I looked at a few that were black..... not sure if they were original

I've seen plenty of black ones, and even darker blue ones and white ones. All in Norway though, maybe the euro spec cars had more or different options.

No you actually might be right

that's a regular A4 for sure, but maybe a 2007/8?

they didn't start doing A4 all-roads until a few years ago (at least in NA, but i think europe too), before that it was only a6 allroads

they're mechanically almost identical to the a6 2.7/3.0t, but with a bit of a lift and some underskirting, so i'm not sure what that mechanic was worried about

Mine is a 2006 A4 avant, 2.0t with the 6 speed. Awesome little mountain car!

My mom has one (might be 2005) but when it wasn't a pos it was so fun. I love it still though, downhill through my back roads are fun as hell in it. A shame it's starting to rust, burn oil more and more, and the turbo is blown as fuck. Full throttle has half a second of spool noise then just a screaming, high pitch sound. Yours looks good though

Picked up a new daily. 2011 N55 335i. I flashed a custom tune on it that I made. I am on my 4th revision and it feels pretty good. right around a solid 300rwhp. 11psi or so. I am not sure how much I want to modify this. Might throw an ETS charge pipe on with a meth kit.

Still definitely have my 818. Got my AWIC finally hooked up. A full custom welded exhaust done which I am stoked on. And my passenger seat finally in. Need to mount the dash. and redo a shit ton of wiring. Also change the oil soon.

04 XC70. Since this was taken, its got studded tires, a nicer bike rack, a shit ton of skis and waxing equipment in the back, and the whole window with the stickers is sticker bombed.

I was never sure about the propertions of where the cockpit of the car should be but looking at the ass it looks right. I wanna hear it go now

The gas compartment door won't open on my 2011 outback. It's pissing me the fuck off because it's such a stupid problem to have. Any ideas? I don't think it's frozen.

probably worried about the timing chain replacement at 100kmi where you need to take the engine out of the car to do it.. wheel bearing, axle seals, and other usual audi/vw problems

Did that car come with a tampon, or did you already have one shoved up your vagina?

No offense but why would you spend all of your money on a car, especially when you're about to be done with HS... you could get a reliable car for half of that and still have a bunch in the bank

I'm taking a year off before college to work/ski and I found a Great deal for rent in WY. I'll definitely be saving some money, especially in the next two summers before school so it should work out. Really wanted low miles.

Post up!

I need a new daily. I'm gonna post here because I'm sure there's a lot of knowledge running around this thread of car ppl.

What are issues that plague high mileage legacy GT's? Do I get a 2005-ish Legacy GT for dirt cheap that I can abuse and spend the money saved by modding my Infiniti, or get a new WRX? Is a high mileage legacy GT gonna bleed me dry even if I take good care (I change my own fluids and stuff..). Want to twin turbo my G37, but I've never owned a turbocharged car before so would I be getting way in over my head with two turbo'd cars? My family owned a VW once with a turbo and the engine blew with like 140k so I like turbos but fear them (VW POS anyways)

Head gasket and frame rot. And check the compression of cyl. 4. Was very close to getting a GT before I got my G. It's pretty much a luxury wrx. And if you can find a Spec B pull the trigger.

Do you need AWD? Honestly VW 1.8t are super peppy and will last if you don't beat them/take care of them. Plus with a few bolt ons they can actually get quick.

My neighbor had a Spec B that he sold a year and a half ago. I really liked the car but I just wasn't in the market for an AWD car at that point. I knew about head gasket issues, compression test is a given, frame rot--worse than other cars?

Don't *need* awd, but doesn't hurt. Our sour experience with VW in the past scarred me (they last if you don't beat them--why wouldn't i want a car I can beat on?).

Bought for the princely sum of 200 eurocoins, replaced clutch and added four overpriced Dutch design snow tires.

Has done 30K in almost a year now.

Drives like a wet fanny, as reliable as a labrador, drops panties everywhere and otherwise will roast them off with seat heating because Volvo.

I'm a cheapskate.

My 1999 Eclipse GSX. AWD 5spd. 147,000. This car is in no way perfect but I love it. Currently running 15lbs on stock turbo. Spools hella loud. Intake & Exhaust (3" catback cause emissions) HKS BOV. Bought it with some basic coilovers non-adjustable dampening. Now for the problems. Its got strut tower rust which I'm going to have to fix soon. For some reason everything loose in the interior buzzes and rattles right around 75-80mph in 5th gear, which is the speed I usually cruise at on the freeway. Burned out the clutch learning to drive manual, which is where my next $300 will be going. It's a work in progress that, along with skiing, has really made me realize how broke I actually am. But the feeling of hitting boost is definitely worth it. It also corners like a dream, and can do some mean snow drifts.

Fuck yeah a DSM finally, brother has a 1992 eclipse GS that he's built up for rally cross. 2gs are the best but DSMs indeed are a nightmare, brother use to always bitch how he wanted to sell it but damn it's problems were turned into a solid fed race car. He now has a fiesta ST for a daily which is a blast

Thats a mean looking truck you got there. love it. Did you get the hemi in the overland too or still a v6? Put an K&N intake on that and a corsa exhaust and it'll sound like a beast if its the hemi.

Well I bought my 2004 GTI VR6 with 140,000 on it. Drove it for almost 5 years and to 212,000 without the check engine light ever coming on (except for 2 coilpacks which is a given). Key was I didnt drive like an asshole and kept up with maintenance. VW's (1.8t and vr6) will run forever if you keep up with the maintenance. It's actually recommended to drive aggressively, just dont neglect them...

Sour experiences with VW usually happen when you buy a car that was neglected or you dont keep up with maintenance. As I've said Ive driven mone for almost 5 years and have been on Vortex for almost as long, you'll rarely have a problem if you just replace certain parts when their due...

As for frame rot, Subarus are one of the worst, at least the 08's and back...
