Just gave you a follow. I really want to get myself a van and build it into a camper so I'm very stoked to see how yours turns out.

Got pulled over today by a trooper doing 89 in a 65 where every single other person was doing 90, solely because I have tint and black wheels. Pissed

Its such bullshit, I got pulled over going 80 on a 70 and the guy screamed at me saying I have a speeding problem meanwhile people were going 15-20 over passed us. It was the stupid aerial plane radar that doesnt get picked up by detectors. No ticket thank god.

got $155

My car ended up putting down some moderately disappointing numbers, 265hp/275tq. It was 95 degrees out and ~70% humidity though so I want to have it dynoed again sometime in the fall or winter.

Whenever cobb drops their flex fuel kit will be my next mod. Should easily put me over 300 for hp and tq.

That's ~330hp at the crank. What were you hoping for/expecting? Did you dyno the car when it was stock?

What are the current mods?

That's actually not too bad, for car rated at 268/258 (most likely at the crank). You're going to lose some from the crank to the wheels. Essentially, the tune got you at the wheels what your car was rated for at the crank, with no other mods.

What kind of flex fuel system is it? ie. are you going to tune to run an e85 mix or spray meth?

what dyno and who tuned it? honestly subies arent made to make power.

Mods are grimmspeed catted dp and grimspeed ebcs. On the same dyno cars with same mods (some with catback and intake but neither will really make a huge difference) have been making 270-280 pretty consistently.

No meth in my foreseeable future, just the flex fuel kit so I can run any mix of 93/e85 and not have to worry about switching tunes and testing ethanol content.

They've done a few other 15s, you can see the numbers if you scroll down a little. They should be emailing me the dyno sheet sometime today.

Also forgot to mention bone stock 2015 has been making 220-230 on their dyno.

So, you gained 35-45 whp over a bone stock WRX with a DP & ECBS. Sounds like a nice gain to me. You're not far off from the 270-280 figure you mentioned. Other cars may be running slightly more aggressive tunes.

I'm definitely happy with it and it is a noticeable gain. I think on a better day it would've hit 270 easily. It's just one of those things where 270 looks a lot better than 260.

Don't get caught up in a numbers game. I tune cars every single day and every car is a little different and even though some cars make less peak hp, their torque and power curve make up for it. I can tell you from experience, their are plenty of cars that have made less of a peak number but are so much more fun to drive. My philosophy with tuning does not include anything to do with a peak hp number. I tell my customers that if they are concerned with dick swinging and having a piece of paper that says their car is fast, to go find a new tuner.

bondo'd all the tiny little rust spots in my car today. i think we should be done sanding tomorrow, then it goes in for the wrap on Saturday! really stoked on this and i can't wait to not have boring old grey.

Just how hard are wheel spacers are wheel spacers on bushings and other components? Got 15mm on the rear but moving them up to the front when my 20mm come in. I have a front wheel bearing going and am wondering if the spacers are gonna expedite its demise...

Anyone here own a MX5 NB with a fastback style hardtop?

Wow those are pretty sweet and normally I don't like miatas cause of them being convertables. Are you looking at getting one?

So does anyone have experience with the ep3 Si hatchbacks? Im looking into one after high school. Im hoping to just have a fun small car that I can still toss my ski stuff into and do rallycross in. Dont say Subaru because I just cant do that to myself, I want fwd for good reason, even a mk4 golf would be good which I know a few here have.

Yeah well I want a cheap but fun driving daily. An NC with the foldable hardtop would be ideal but with some mods out of my price range for now. A more pure MX5 might be even more fun though so now I'm looking at an NB. Just found out about those fastback hardtops as I was looking at normal hardtops. A convertable is not necesarry for me and I really like how they look. Together with these more retro looking round tail lights you can get a unique kind of oldschool looking car with rear wheel drive for pretty cheap.

Those fastback hardtops are just not easy to get over here..

Anyway if anyone has one or knows more about it let me know. I have some questions about the trunk, waterproofness, combination with roll bar, windows etc. If not I'll throw myself in some of the miata forums..

I don't fully understand what I'm looking at, but I see a large turbo, wastegate, and massive throttle body and I like.

What you see is a 500whp motor/turbo combo in a 1800lb rear wheel drive car.

Someone please convince me why a 2011 c30 is a bad idea...

Theres one for 11k with 120xxxkms in my area, 6spd T5

Seems like a capable car,

300ish hp and 320ft/lbs can be seen with an intake, downpipe and exhaust

one drawback is fwd
