new project- I bought her last week- so far had an exhaust welded up- g35 splash guards- stubby antena and wiper delete- next on the list are a set of kw coils, find a set of street wheels I like- and convert it to run e85- using stock wheels as track day wheels running advan semi-slicks-
next summer or sooner depending on cash flow will also begin motor build- bc stroker kit to a 4.15- low compression and a new borg and warner efr turbo- goal is to have 485 on low boost for track use and then somewhere in the 600 range for highway cruising- people have built the bc storkers up over 1000 but im looking at spool and power under the curve rather than a dyno queen- althought I will have a high boost c16 map just for shits and giggles

I give you- project tokyo drift

sounds like a legit build for sure. never been a fan of tree fiddys but judging by your previous car history that i've seen, that thing will be a beast lol.

you'll have to be sure to post up a thread when you get your shit together, or a link to a build thread wherever man.

just noticed now that this thread is a few years old and wondering did that kid ever admit the he didnt own a Bugatti(or proved he did)

Can someone help me out with buying new wheels? How do I know what fits my car right? I'm just looking for something kind of simple for a 97 camry. The rims are all chipped and gnarly. Anyone know of something I could get a set of 4 of for around like 300-350?

Working on it fer sure. It just takes forever, as it's like working on a car AND a house at the same time, which is expensive or extremely time consuming.

She's about to get a sweet paintjob, sorf of a graffiti mural but not really. It's gonna be mountains wrapping around it like this, but way cleaner as I'm spraying it proper with my hvlp/grav gun and taping, not using spray cans w/o tape freehand.

The windows and bumpers are covered in skiing and racing stickers, and I'm always adding more.

The inside we've already put some stone and stainless counters in it, and are redoing the floors. Couch is getting rewrapped in neoprene right now too to make it waterproof. (nice to be a welder in the same mills as upholstery and stonework shops) The shower's already been converted to hold snowy skis while they dry and the winnie sleeps six comfortably. Don't need to plug it in, just refill 'er with propane as the fridge, heater etc run on propane. A full tank is about $50 and will run the fridge for two weeks, or the heater and the fridge for about a week. Just need to plug it in about once a week or so to charge the battery that runs the interior lights and stuff.

Only not so awesome part is that she's got a 305 in her. Total pig uphill. Other than that, shit is so awesome. Just get together a bunch of friends, fill the tank and BAM! Instant basecamp for every season. The roof could probably hold about 6 kayaks too.

Can't wait until she's sporting some more new guts and a fresh paintjob

Any other ideas for what to do on her? Stripper pole and dead hooker storage are already in the works too.

I am incredibly jealous. What year is that and how much did you pay for that if you dont mind me asking. I would love to have one of those.

It's an '81 Fleetwood Tioga, based on a Chevy Van (20 I think) platform.

As for the cost... Well, that's kind of a funny story. My brother and I came across a deal for TWO of them, this one and a '72 Winnebago Brave, which looked exactly like Optimus Prime. The guy who owned them already had like 6 boats and also had just bought a brand new one- which the wife wouldn't let him bring home until he sold both winnebagos.

Long story short we ended up getting them both for $1000 because they both needed a bit of work, which we could mostly do ourselves- and the guy was in a tight spot and wanted them gone NOW. We then took the '72 and sold it quick for $1500, and sunk the nickel into the '81 getting her running tits and replacing the batteries and charging system among a few other things right off the bat.

So I don't know what to say about price. I guess it paid us $500??? That was a total right-place-right-time-with-cash deal, but this type and vintage typically go for $3k-$4500 depending on condition and options, etc. so I'm never getting rid of it ever.

You are incredibly lucky. I've always wanted to buy an old van or camper and turn it into the ultimate ski mobile/tail gater/mobile party.

all small cars are death traps haha

also, im picking up one of these this weekend, for 0 dollars!

not this one, mines super beat. it has no motor, but i have a dual port 1600 up at my grandmas im gonna put in, gonna slam it and drive it. pretty stoked.

thats not due to lack of crash protection- that number is based off of driver deaths not how it handles an impact - easy reasoning- the primary purchaser of a 350z is a male in their 20's- also the most likely age group to die in a high speed crash- combine the aggressive market with the fact that many of the purchased vehicles were bought by honda fan boys who finally had a little cash flow and wanted to eb fast and furious and you have a high number of deaths
its impact ratings are fine- has full curtain bags- and ill have a full cage by august- so once again you try to hate on anything I say car related- but picking out the safety of a car?- what are you a soccer mom

then explain the nissan titan.

and there are other options out there for kids to get into but i don't see those cars on the list.

and yes i am a soccer mom, because i consider all aspects of a car, including safety, before i buy.

if you think that car is dangerous you should see some of my buddies drift cars / sleeper projects. its not the car, its the driver.

the spread on the titan only supports the driver error argument, since presumably all 3 models have the same air bags and very similar frame structure.

Haha the 09 Range Rover from my brother that I ride more then him that I posted a while ago got stolen last week in Moskou.
Dangerous place, but now he has to drive a puny lada and he hates it. But now I have no car to go up to the mountains anymore because my Z3 is shit in snow. Luckily it is summer, but he wont get new car until april next year so i'm screwed.
Poor Range ROver:

Yes I know but it's one of the best cars there is, it saddens me alot when trophy wives drive it cause the Range Rover is supposed to be used and go offroad it prolly are one of the best offroaders ever and definilty the one with most comfort.
Even the Sport altough it are smaller is also very good.
I bet 95% of al trophy wives how drive a Range Rover have never messed with the offroad settings.

any vehicle with locked differentials could do that.

hell, i bet my 40 year old truck with open diffs could probably do that.
