Newschoolers is stupid slow

During peak usage times. Its alright early in the morning, but lately it has been downright abominable at night when theres a lot of people on. Like sometimes so bad i have to just close my NS tab and reopen it later.

Im quite sure its not my internet because i can load other sites much much much faster, i think its something on NS's end
 
Same thing happened to me literally ten minutes ago...None of the pages on NS would load and I had to close the tab and open again a couple time and than it started working fine again.
 
in the evening when i am doing HW ;) i find this to be the case too.

ill click somewhere and it wont respond, i have to close my browser, and reopen it and it works faster.

(i know its not my computer or internet connection, everything else loads super fast)

no i hate when people say that ^. i have tried mozilla and the same shit happens. it takes soooooooooooooo long for the thread reply box to allow me to put words into it. like the curser wont show up and the loading bar just keeps going. so annoying
 
For those of you having trouble replying, try going to Manage My NS next to your icon up top and turning off the Fancy Editor. It sometimes messes with some browsers
 
Can we get more details as to what is happening?
Also give browser/OS/any detail possible. Screen captures are great too. If you experience this, give us as much information as is humanly possible, and we can usually figure it out.
 
NS is supah fast.

I use Ad block for firefox and I never have problems.

No delay with pages either, hmmm I feel special.
 
yeah at times its everything for me. NS just plain doesnt load. while every other site on teh interwebz works. (usually in the later evening hours CST)

i am running Firefox 3.5.7 Windows 7.
 
I'm pretty sure I know the cause of this and am working on a fix.

Can you all plz confirm that this tends to happen around each 20 minute mark on the hour? Eg: 1pm, 1:20pm, 1:40pm, 2pm, etc... ?

 
I'll tell you in about 15min...but it usually happen to me around 8 or so at night..MST

and I am running Firefox with adblock plus with fancy editor turned off.
 
same, it generally is in the evening. and i too am on firefox with ABP and no fancy editor. on a mac
 
This is what happens when it happens to me.

It will be around 10 or 11pm Pacific time and I will click on my Home button to go to the homepage for NS. It will sit there and have a blank white page loading for about 10 minutes or more sometimes.

I am using Firefox I think upgraded to the newest one and it is Windows Vista. And don't blame Vista cause I can load Sherdog, GameSpot, TGR, and Facebook just fine at that the same time in a different tab.
 
mac osx 10.6: firefox/safari/chrome(all latest)

every night at about 11:30 pacific stndrd time ns just stops loading for me, happen on all my computers, and to big_spence also
 
I'm on the east coast, windows XP and firefox. my computer will hit 75% usage when newschoolers is open during peak usages and my computer will run at a snails pace but as soon as i close teh newschoolers page it drops to 3% and runs like the day i got it.
 
just did it again on the 40. half loaded a thread, then stopped and froze. didnt go anywhere. tried clicking to other sections of the site, nothing. so i leave and come back a minute or two later, all better.
 
It's been happening to me as well. NS won't load on any page for a couple minutes where sites like Facebook are super fast at the same time. Linux/Firefox/No Ad Block(Looks like its all operating systems and browsers)
 
Two days ago (Tuesday), between 10 and 11AM PST. Specifically I was trying to check out the SIA pages on IE8 using Windows 7.

Two hours later, load times for those pages seemed to be fine.
