Newschoolers housing posers

Over the past year, I have been noticing a lot of gaper like comments and sometime noticing indications that a ns poser has been on a certain thread or video. When I first got on the ns I thought that it was all people who were serious about skiing and that they're weren't any people on it who would secretly be impressed by a youtube weekend edit. But checking out peoples profile and knowing some posers who are on ns every day talking shit to people who are decent at skiing and making threads about how to do a trick "that they very well know they will never do" on ns. I'm not calling anybody out but I am just noticing this kind of thing going on. Anyone else feel this way.

(Btw, I'm talking about people who may look like a ns but when in the park will skip out on the feature and maybe hit the jumps but only possibly do like a 1 or a 3)

On a serious note, it shouldn't matter if you're the best skiier or the worst. If you love skiing then you can be on newschoolers. Also your original post stated that they would skip rails and hit jumps and yet you fail to mention big mountain/touring so you sound like the real gaper here.

Sorry man, I'm talking about people who take skiing as a joke and don't really like it and just see it as a past time. And your right, I did fail to mention bc but most dedicated bc skiers out there have spent some time in the park. I'm just rattled by posers a little.

I thought the same thing when I move to Breckenridge, turns out everyone out there is not amazing at skiing, park or otherwise.
 
Why would you hate if people skip features or only do 180? You're bringing the hate on another level: it's not just hate on gapers anymore, it's also hate against every skier that isn't as good as you. better just get yourself a private park and chill with Shaun White.
 
im decked out in saga and whatever else but dont ski park and if i do i usually film due to injuries/confidence shit.

i wouldnt call myself a poser or a gaper, i understand how everything works in the park.

OP, I'm gonna break from tradition and be a little serious here. I totally remember being a freshman in high school and just being obsessed with skiing, it's all I could think about all day at school. People that were super casual about skiing kind of annoyed me and I freaked out when I learned some people on ns don't ski haha. But, (and this is the depressing part) as you start to get older and the responsibilities of life pile on you, skiing may start to become less and less important to you, hard to imagine now, but it's true. There will always be a place for skiing if you make it, but it gets A LOT harder and often preferences change, injuries occur, or something else unexpected comes up.

Dude I take my 180s very seriously. I even skip rails so I can focus on doing the most serious 180 possible on jumps. I'm talking serious jumps.

In fact I bet I can do better 180s then you, seriously.

Play me in a game of skate you fucking poser. Your 180 game probably isnt even serious.

ya man i hate 1s and 3s too. such gay tricks and they never, ever, look good no matter who is doing them. i had to stop watching eric pollards, and nimbus's edits because there were just too many 180s and cork 3s. such gay tricks, pollard and his crew are such gapers for doing them still ... gosh. 1s and 3s, i mean common guys ? is fucking 2014 , i want 1880s .
