Made a thread in LM to get some good responses but curious what NSG will produce.

going to NYC with a lady friend of mine in early july. Looking for any tips on Hotels (im thinking times square but could be talked into a hotel elsewhere)
Things to do...
Cool places to eat...
any shit on the way ? toronto to NYC driving?
bringing weed across the border? super small amount like 4 joints? terrible terrible idea or would i be okay?

I wouldnt stay in times square, jam packed all the time. I stayed in the hilton on ave of the americas. Stay there, its close to every tourist thing to see. And theres a "famous" halal cart on ave of the americas on the corner that the hilton sits on. Most insanely good food i have ever had in my whole life, get a gyro platter with white sauce , sooooooooo sick.

a hotel in that part of the city is going to cost you major bills, especially since the exchange rate is not favorable for silly canadians.

i live in downtown toronto... im sure NYC is pricey, but it cant be a whole lot more than shit is here.
hotels in the heart of times square are like 210 a night, which is less than the cost of a hotel per night at the hotel right behind my building (275 cdn a night)

take the subway to the park, smoke a jay there and just walk around, you can also hit up the museum of natural history which is right there as well, its a good time

just there this last weekend. if you like sushi, hit up Monster Sushi. its2 blocks down from Times square on W46'th. Delicious!

Make sure you grab a cuban sandwich at the europa cafe... It iwl be one of the best decisions you will ever make. haha. No joke. The best place is to stay around union square and washington square park. I lived there for 2 years, and I still have many friends that live there. Born adn raised in manhatten. The village is really close to union sq and you will find lots of amazing resteraunts. If you like seafood check out blue water grill. I believe it's 15 and braodway. Also be sure to check out jekyll and hyde pub in the village. They serve the worlds strongest beer. It is only brewed once a year. P.M. if you want to know anything else.

btw if your into concerts The Bowery Ballroom is the place to be.

not saying you can, but its a lot closer than buttfuck manitoba or something. Not going to stay in Jersey because i wouldnt stay in Markham, ya digg?

don't stay in times square, go there once for like 10 mins, it honestly sucks there, tons of tourists and nothing really to do except get overwhelmed. it's not nearly as cool as everyone thinks it is. go at night and walk through it, that's all you need
just try to do non touristy things, that'll give you the best perspective of the cityalso remember that everything there is a grid until you hit soho, so know the grid and you'll do fine

worst advice ever, the point of going to nyc, or anywhere is to do the touristy things. Doing non touristy things involves working a 9-5 and staying in all night

and NYC was pretty cheap when I was there. Cheap food and got new nikes at the nike store for 33$

if u wanna get fucked up and do it brooklyn style, hit me up, i should be around williamsburg (omg hipsters!) somewhere
as for touristy shit, try this, walk from manhattan to brooklyn over bk bridge, head down cadman plaza west towards the water and grab a pie at grimaldis, the line might be a bit absurd but its SO FUCKING WORTH IT.

that was a really dumb post, clearly you haven't spent much time there, it's way more fun if you just go out and do random shit and not go to all the museums and fucking times square and all the azn shit. if you really wanna see nyc and have fun there then go to concerts and clubs and just walk around different parts of the city, but going for a ride on the big gay red double decker bus is boring and stupid and it doesn't give you a real sense of the city
depends on what you're after, if you wanna have a good time and see the less traveled parts of the city then stay away from broadway and times square but if you wanna walk around with a map and a camera in a safari hat wearing high shorts and sneakers and take pictures of time square while your asian gf poses doing a peace sign, then by all means knock yourself out

and new york is not cheap on the upper east and west side but everywhere else in general it's not too bad

pm NY_rightcoast. he lives there.

i live about 3 hrs away but, apple store, time square, central park, bagels, museum of natural history ( food prices are up the yingyang) nbc, dylans candy bar is dopeeee. walk around go in allthe shops, maybe see a show

drop a deuce on the observatory floor in the empire state building. you will not regret it. if you skate, hit up the brooklyn banks under the brooklyn bridge in manhattan.
