New Years in SLC

I'm going to be in SLC for the new year with my buddy and my little brother and one of this friends. Obviously SLC isn't exactly the party destination, but I'm looking for any ideas on where we should go for new years eve. The main issue is my brother who's only 19 and still looks very young so I dunno where he can get in. I'm not hopeful for a 18+ club that still serves alcohol.

Any ideas for where we should go? I'm looking for a bar with hot chicks and dancing if possible. If there's an 18+ place my bro could get into that would be swell as well. Thanks for the help
 
depends on waht you want. there is legit night clubs liek dance style. hipster electro shit, hole in the wall establishments. ski bum type locales...neighborhood live music type stuff...rave business type stuff. (im really sure there is a rave or two going on during that time, and utah likes its raves)...the list can go on man
 
there is a rave called legends on new years eve, you can find more info on google. and there is area 51 in salt lake city that is 18+ and they do have alcohol.

i think that eve thing downtown will pop off pretty nicely...and won't be as weird as a rave, for the reason you stated.

but maybe that's just me haha..and there's a rail jam at that eve thing.

I think I am going to do the EVE thing myself for the drive and just variety. An all out rave is a little excessive I think for vacation, although for locals it may be the ticket to ring in the new years.

Plus the rave, which it is pretty much being sold as, is a 16+ event, and I dislike going to even 18+ electronic shows...just because the entire floor is on just one too many rolls it seems like.

Snowbird has some shit going on too. But I think its just fireworks.

haha, yea I guess we'll probably have to split up. the thought of a bunch of 16-18 yr olds with pacifiers in their mouths is just disturbing. i'm much too old for that.

if there's any regular bars (you know justin timberlake, rihanna whatever the kids are listening to these days) that have a good dance floor and aren't packed with dudes I'd be content with that.
 
i know that circle lounge is supposed to be good taht night. a dj homie of mine has been talking about getting a table there and making that his party spot of choice for the night.
