New trend in skiing

pretty sure a lot of people are aware of FT's roots, and know they bought out molds from raichle. i always see people looking to buy raichle boots on here so they can slip intuitions in them and stuff.

The French word for these kids, and god knows I use it too often in my mountain park in France, is Poseur. In english i guess you spell it posers but it's actually Poseur ;)
 
i dont see whats wrong with letting people ski despite their equipment. just because someone may be a poser or wears expensive popular equiptment or something doesnt mind me. im stoked that they are making an attempt at a sport in which i feel is life altering, soul searching and at some points religious. yea i might be jealous some person has sick equiptment and they cant use it correctly, but hey i find them as people who are searching for the lost part of the soul that can only be found by taking some laps whether they be groomers, park laps, tree skiing, pillow lines, etc. with your friends. i was lucky enough to be brought up in a family who taught me skiing at the age of 2. i couldnt find that soul until i was like a freshman in high school. it takes a long time to appreciate something. be stoked they are out shredding, and be stoked you are out shredding.
 
i agree with u on the point that people in the park not hitting features and just getting in the way would be better off staying out of the park.

my solution? snake everyone. works every time and if anyone gives me shit, handle biz accordingly...
 
I see most of the new schoolers wearing the really cool shit and Posers also. Mostly not so much the posers though because they have it all wrong for function over the new schooler.

Ya see the Poser will have that XXL jacket on but 5 layers of clothing on under it so he cant move. Also the poser will have full length poles Because thats what his carving dad said was right for all skiing Those pants better have some stretch or bag to them because they {just } fit without a belt and if you try any of the tricks these dudes are doing your two layers of poke a dotted long johns are going to show. Ha

I can spot a poser a mile away. Oh ya hes also the guy saying he does all those tricks but cant to perfect strangers in the line ups because if he said them to someone he knows they would know hes full of it.

I had a guy do this to me in the lineup last week. He said wow man going to go do some more back flips over there? I'm like cool. He said ya I just was flying man. I said. Cool.

So later in the day I was ripping Down some groomer back to the lift and saw Mr back flip failing at hopping over a small feature and having a hard time getting up?? I thought. Uncool. He had some sick gear though.

What ever. theres guys like that no matter what sport your in. They come then they go. Or maybe they start putting it were there mouth is thats aright to. Me, I just ski. I dress so I stay warm,fuzzy and dry. What ever fits the way I need it to fit for what I'm doing. Skiing. The end
 
I don't see the big deal. If you're in my way I'll wait or ask you too move. If I'm in your way and you ask me too I'm happy to get out of the way. If I slide off the side of a rail or fall on something easy I get up laugh it off and keep going and i always try to respect everyone regardless of what they wear or how good they are. Just be respectful and make an effort
 
I wear the unsteeziest shit out there cause it's comfy. Medium spyder jacket, medium marmot pants, helmet with goggles on top. Come at me bro. I do have full tilts though, and I definitely wouldn't consider mahself a gaper, I can 720 and that's about it

This whole part of the ski industry is fucked. Should i have to be a pro basketball player to wear my blazers jersey? Should I be really good at baseball to wear flatbill MLB caps? No fucking way.

If you judge someones skill level and the close the wear go fucking die. How are companies supposed to make money? First drop, jiberish saga sponsor all these skiers to people buy their products. If only people who were good at skiing could wear them then it would never work out.

Stop judging people by the stuff they wear. This is supposed to happen or out ski industry would never survive.
 
I have yet to see posers wearing nice shit in PA. I mean I have seen a couple but you can tell right away that they don't know anything because they are wearing pretty much all snowboarding company clothing (theres nothing really wrong with that). But any kid I have seen that wears saga jiberish or first drop or like level 1, can hit down rails and 270 on shit. Yet to see a kid that sucks ass and wears nice ass saga with like new full tilts. But I bet it happens, just not where I go.
 
actually I take that back after seeing that kid 270 onto the rail. let me rephrase, there are a fuck load of poser snowboarders, I mean a fuck load. But not too many real poser skiers, there are some but just alot of poser snowboarders. Like a kid I know talks about throwing flips and hitting rails and all, but when it comes to it he just says "na dude im just not feeling it today" like oh ok thats what you said the last 10 days
 
Hehe I have saga jiberish full tilts and armadas and I'm not the best but at least I'm not embaressed when I eat it and try new shit every time I go skiing
 
i wouldnt say your judging them but just bc these kids buy the nice saga stuff they think they are badass skiers and are better than everyone. thats how it is at my hill
 
if kids want to support our industry by buying products made by the same ski companys that sponsor our athletes then let them. even if they dont care to hit alot of features in the park.

read the post you quoted... it has nothing to do with clothing, and everything to do with stupid little kids forming a line before every feature instead of hitting them in a row. Think before you post next time.
 
I'm all for that, Sure support out industry. Wear bunny ears if that's what makes you happy. I just don't want to have to weave threw thirty people to hit a damn flat box.
 
My post wasnt really meant to the quote i shouldnt have done that. But i still stand by what I said. Skill=the gear you can wear and its stupid
