i just joined ski club in school, i've never skiied and i did snowboarding oncei live in pittsburgh and i'll be going to 7 springsi was just wandering if there's anything i should be prepared fori also rollerblade and i'm wondering if they're similar at all

Skiing is pretty hard to learn but stick with it because it doesn't take too long. Rollerblading will not help at all. Actually, maybe a little, but not much. It'll be cold so wear a scarf too.

if you ever fall or do something that makes you look stupid, just blame it on your equipment or low quality of terrain or park features.

ie: "fucking skis neeed new wax" / "fucking edges are mad dull"

" fucking landings is all washed out" / " fucking rails are sticky"

haha one time i caught an edge really bad and i blamed it on my ski brakes saying they were sticking out and caught the rail

actually rollerblading will help A LOT, my friend started skiing last year off of rollerblades and he didnt even have a noob stage

proof is when there was that video of chris haffey (pro rollerblader) after 2 days of skiing he was doing 9's and hitting all of the rails

we have a park crew that freaking does nothing, so alot of times tons of falls happen on the bomb holes at the end of rails.
i'm talking seriously scary bomb holes.

i hate that come off switch from a rail and land blindly in a bomb hole and just eat shit pisses me off

ya i was going to bring up that video. It was hilarious he could barely get to the jump but could stomp nines

yeah dude.with the amount of gape we get at my home hill, everything, i mean everything, gets torn to balls by 4:00

also proving that rollerblading helps with rails: my friend who skis but had never rollerbladed tried mine and did a 270 on after a couple tries
