i'll be moving to the whidbey island area in a year seeing as my brother willbe stationed there, we were just wondering how far it is from some sick pow pow but particularly mount baker

well the sickest pow will be avalible for you at Hurican ridge over in the Olympics. You just hop the ferry to port townsand and drive on over. But to get to baker you would take the ferry to mukeltio or whatever it is called, it would take you like 3 hours.

Last I heard though lift tickets at Hurican ridge were like $1

free for their members and $20 for an all day, lift pass. plus a $15 car permit, or $30 season pass car permit. I was surprised to see they got 400 inches a year.

It mentions advanced bowls, steeps and glades that you have to hike to, anyone hit any of that shit up?

when it says lift pass it means two rope tows or something like that I have not skied there since I was 2 or 3.

they got a t-bar or a platter too. i wouldn't be surprised if there was some good BC in the area though, the olympics are steeper than the cascades (formed by plates pushing up as opposed to volcanic formations).
