New snowboarding game - Shredders

just thought you dickfarts should know that there's a new snowboard game out on xbox and it's on game pass, meaning you can play it for free if you pay for online xbox access

only played a few minutes last night but it seems promising so far. controls are different than our beloved Skate controls but i really started to like them once i started getting used to them. also zeb powell is a character in the game so you know it's tight. also i think they let you unlock unlimited tows behind sleds at some point

anyone played? thoughts?

no, no indication or reason to hope they'll add skiing that i'm aware of. i think it's an indie developer and there was a joke in the story mode about putting their resources into some things and not others (example was having all the characters wear face masks rather than spend time/money on modeling faces etc)

do try it though!
 
I’ve been playing a good bit of it. Controls are a bit odd. I just can’t figure them out. I get stuck upside down a lot. But then I’ll accidentally launch a quad cork 12 some how.
 
Ive spoken to the developers about adding skiing and they said it wont happen for at least 6 months. The game is awesome though and has really good physics

It can be kinda hard at first but once you get used to it its so nice

Yeah it takes a second to get used to them but the controls are really good. Spin and flip being independent is really cool

catdick, the timing for flipping is harder than for spinning but you'll get it

towing behind sleds and winches is really cool too. Dope game

from what ive seen it looks super fun, reminds me a bit of skate tbh, and the unlimited tows seems really useful and playful. if i wasnt broke atm i would buy it

That's just an option right?-- to play it without downloading it. Which is a dope option but I downloaded it so I could leave it paused for ages and it won't disconnect and have to restart for a lap or two

Ohhh I didn’t know what cloud gaming was, I thought it was some other thing I needed in order to play it
 
FYI the last level is the sickest park by far imo. it's the invitational that is the last challenge of the game and that takes place on a boarder cross style course, but right next to it is the dopest park in the game. big nice jumps, hips, lots of tranny options, and a big BC-style jump you can find that gaps over the park at one point

also [tag=266051]@CatdickBojangles[/tag] i can now do triple corks consistently. def took some getting used to but the controls are sick once you get them, you can do some really dope stuff including butter landings and shit. really love how there is board control with right stick like in Skate but left trigger is also just a "put down the landing gear and slow down the rotation" button

I’m still trying to figure it out and be able to do them easily. Game is super fun. Definitely like skate where it’s super fun to to session one spot for hours.

the open up and lawn dart controls are so sick, you can spin a perfect 360 over a 100ft jump or rip a 2340, this is a feature we've wanted for years and shredders is the only game that has it
 
Probably the best the action sports game I’ve ever played besides skate.

the fact that you can throw a quad and also a super slow cork 3 is a dream come true. If they add skiing it’s confirmed goated

definitely the most realistic snowboard game I’ve ever played.

also flying the drone and following your buddies in multiplayer is just as fun as playing IMO.

if anybody wants to play sometime my gt is jsmaysh

I think you can play it via X-cloud if you have a game pass subscription and good internet.
