New Skis

Hi,

I plan to do a ski instructor course in Canada next year. At the moment I have an Atomic All Mountain Ski, that's 83mm wide (don't know the exact series atm) and I could use an old pair from my dad, but this is more of a Touring Ski and I didn't like it the few times I used it. Now I am considering buying a new pair of skis for off-piste because I wanna get more in the freeride side of skiing. I'm thinking of a Bent Chetler, but I'm not sure which one. The 120 seems great, but it's obviously not that great on the normal slope. From the 110 I read a test and they didn't sound too convinced as it was unstable and felt weird. The 100 sounds great as an all-rounder, but I'm not sure how well it performs on pow days.

What do you think?

welcome to canada . If you’re coming out west, I typically say 100mm is our sweet spot for your 1 all mtn ski. Id say go around that. Over 105 is where it starts to get unwieldy on the grooms. If you’re deep on the west coast where the snow is wetter you could probably get away with the 110. you can pass your CSIA 1 on anything though.
