New skis

you should always put your skis over a large fire and see if the wax drips off. thats how its done sonn

yeah you gotta take them shits and rub wax all over them rub a rub rub but don't melt it or scrape it cuz they're new so just leave that shit on there for max speedz.

through those damn skis in the fire and find out!

but alas, no. its all preference based. i tend to wax new skis just because i don't like how the factory waxes them, but its really up to you.

i always hot wax new skis no matter what. helps keep the bases from drying and gives them some protection. also make sure to dull your edges very well. i dread getting new skis just because you have to dull the hell outta edges.

go to your shop they will hook you up with anything you need to wax your skis if you don't already have the stuff and if you don't wanna wax em yourself bring them to the shop. But i always get new skis waxed factory wax is just suppose to keep the bases from drying out.

wait a minute, that stuff that used for hockey sticks? and skim boards?

and i got my skis this summer and havent waxed them yet, do i really need to before i ski on them?

yes you should. its just a good thing to do. mainly to help protect the bases and also to make you go faster. weeeeeeeeeee! :D

don't use sex wax that will make them sticky use swix or kUu wax but if you don't have the equipment bring them to your shop. Read the sticky on ski maitenance and it will help you out

Don't dull your edges is you live on the east coast like me and ski ice a lot

keep em nice and sharp carve better heh ice sucks

damn dude aint figured out google or bing yet. There are a lot of different waxs and costs

Want your new skis to be fast hot box em or repeated baseprep (warm) wax and scrape until you get the bases good and saturated then start with a higher dollar temp specfic wax. fast skis are a combination of structure and wax impegnated into your bases

Beats me bro these are the only rails I do

i would. i prefer my edges to be rounded and i live on the east coast. you don't really need to be carving with sharp edges in the park. everyone has different opinions on how dull they like their edges
