New skis are like a new car

The bigger question is who pays premium price for the ‘coolest’ outerwear?

You can buy high quality clothing in previous years colorways or styles for Pennie’s on the dollar but homies will spend $250 on some overseas made catalog pants because they have a Harlaut logo on them.

The number of ‘companies’ in skiing and snowboarding right now that are essentially drop shipped garbage with cool marketing is astounding.

Ever heard of Vishnu?

also some brands sell out by the next season. Especially as someone who rides the longest lengths possible at 6’4 usually the only skis left a season later are like 160s.

Had to throw in that you're 6' 4

I will admit I bought a pair of Meridians last year and Seasons the year before. But my current parks ski is an atrocious looking pair of heads that I picked up in 2014 for $199 on close out at a ski swap.

I don’t like paying full price. Everything but those two pairs of skis has been a deal I came across. Plus us tele dorks like our used shit / thriftiness

if the skis you buy are available in new condition a year or more after their release, they're probably not worth skiing. It's all a wash, buy what makes you happy. Look good feel good ski good.
