Hey all I’m looking for a new pair of sticks and hoped you value all weigh in.

Im currently riding Kore 87’s and while I do like them, I also hate them. I feel like they want to be driven and you have to be on all the time and you can’t relax on the ski.

I spend the majority of my time skiing with my young kids and they love to play on cat tracks, side hits and bumps….everywhere I have the Kore’s. Conditions are generally east coast icy with a bit of fresh and the odd powder day as well, the runs are generally green and blue with the one BD.

It was demo day yesterday and I got on both the Bent 90 and Bent 100. The 90 didn’t do anything for my but the 100 really surprised me. It was honestly so easy to ski. It was playful, super easy to drive it and put on edge but it was also easy to be more centred and chill down the hill. I just didn’t want a ski that every TDandH has in the lift line.

Here are the skis I’m looking at:

Moment DW 104

Moment Wildcat 101

Moment Frankenski

ON3P Jeffery 100

Black Crows Mirus Cor

Armada ARV

Look forward to hearing your opinions.

5’8” 180lbs 43yrs and in very good shape. I am a seasoned skier on the slopes 4 days a week. I am not an expert by any means but I would definitely say advanced.

Of your options listed I'd say the Jeff 100 or Wildcat 101 will probably be your best bet. Check out Fatypus, specifically the l-toro. I ski at jay peak and I pretty much ski my l-toro's every day no matter the conditions. Plus not many people know fatypus, but the ones that do will give you mad props.

I would rule out the frankenski right away. Unless you ski more than 50% it’s not the right ski. That is moments park dedicated ski.

the wildcat 101 is their ski they recommend for people who do 50% or less park but still want a ski that can perform almost anywhere on the mountain.

the deathwish 104 is the right ski for you. It’s still very playful, can slash and pivot with ease. Doesn’t need to be charged hard but still has plenty of back bone when the speed picks up. It’s actually a stiffer build than the 112 version and weights essentially the same as well.

the triple camber is going to give you great grip and bite on the east coast and icy conditions. It has a much wider range of use conditions wise because of the triple camber. Its quick edge to edge for a 104 under foot. Its the most versatile still of the bunch mentioned.

I personally ski wildcats and death wishes and prefer the wish’s. The 104 is my favorite of the bunch.

the mirus cor is said the be the ultimate dad ski. tight radius, twin tip, soft. perfect for cruising groomers with your kids. if you like to drive your ski on steep stuff they won’t do super well though.

funny because my dad got them this year and is glazing tf outta them. I tried them too but honestly only thing i noticed is sharp edges and a little shorter turn radius since I come from a 17m turn radius ski. did some manuals in the powder though

The Jeffry’s never fail and they get you mad pussy

dudes 43 and has kids...assuming hes married, I don't think he's looking for pussy on the hill. Maybe a beer after the day, but dude...lmfao.

I am married and honestly, my wife is a rocket and my days of “mad pussy” are behind me.

The more I read and the more responses I get leads to more reading and research.

I’m not narrowing things down but adding more:

ARV 100

Jeffery 100

RMU Apostle 96

Blade

Wildcat 101

Opinions?

Wildcat 101 is going to be a lot of fun all over the mountain. It’s fairly quick edge to edge, low swing weight. A lot of moment athletes rock the 101 in the park as well. Plenty capable.

So…I went out with my girls yesterday. We skied the groomers until they got scraped off and then they asked to go to the terrain park. I have never skied park and I have to say I had an absolute blast. Lots of tumbles, a few bruises and I want to go back for more. The Kore 87’s are not going to cut it, even for a few laps here and there.

Blade Optic?

Jeff 100?

ARV 100?

sure, whichever one you like. the blade optic 96 or whatever the size near there is has metal in it while the size below it doesn’t so it’s softer, i think the blade optic is more of a normal ski when compared to the others. it’s still a freestyle ski though and will be sick in the park. but ya all those are good skis. read reviews and pick what you like.

So I am down to two skis:

ARV 96

Jeffery 100

My dilemma this….the ARV I can get now with bindings for about $800cad. The Jeffery would be about $1100cad plus bindings.

Thoughts?

I don’t mind putting cash aside for next season but the ARV is half the cost of the Jeff for me, is it really twice the ski?

Armada has been hit or miss when it comes to sidewalls blowing out, and I guess I should preface that statement by saying it is mostly young kids slamming their skis off rails and shit. If you wanna chance your sidewall blowing out and buying another pair of skis next year be my guest. On the other hand ON3P is consistently known as being a super durable ski. IMO it's a no brainer, I'd spend the extra money

I bought the jeffrey 100s (mounted them w griffon 13s) about a month ago (love them) and I have friends with arv 100s and ive demoed the arve 100s and 106s, honestly i would go with the jeffrey. i feel like the jeffrey is more ski then the arv, and i really like that for all mountain, but it can also preform on the park. would say the jeff is 100 percent worth the extra cash.

Find something used and in decent condition.
