New ski (for Aus)

I need a twin that's gonna hold up on ice, be able to ski on man made and cut through ridiculous amounts of crud, also a ski with a solid base would be handy since after half a season in aus your skis are cactus, so they have to be literally bombproof

Suggestions please, I'm coming off the foils if that helps and was seriously considering staying with salomon, also considering a pair of karmas

bojangles post this on moosh, you'll get heaps more feedback as it is an aus forum,

I've tried the karmas on the east coast of the US which is ment to be known for ice and they are perfect.

Buller is my home and i have my line mike nick pro 171's for an all mountain ski when im not wanting to ski with much effort, these are perfect, base bevel of 3 degree and side of 0.5 and they are great, i can run gates with them but i prefer my 185 9X's for that. If you are skiing with a quiver then who cares about the twin, just get one that you like the feel of, edge hold at buller is good on most HP twins

^cheers, haha gotta love mt buller

sounds like karmas are a solid choice, and I'll consider the mike nicks (if I can find a pair)

you wont find a pair of mike nicks in aus. I had to track down a pair in canada. Luckly i came back with a one off that line made, special race base.

Karmas are your best bet if you dont want to be diffrent as everyone will have them this year.

Good ole buller, the only place you can ski the entire mountain in a day.

yr a big guy, but i don't really know what kinda terrain you deal with in Oz. I reckon you could go better than karmas: my pick would def. be ARVs, failing that motherships or MSPs.

Karma would still be solid, but imo ARV would be best in a 185 or 175 depending on your level.

^nah not the ARV's, haha if you ever wanna find out what kinda terrain we deal with, don't ride the ARV's, I found them to be a little too soft and more of a ski for deeper snow

Ive got the same problem(im an ozzy too) My mate has head mojo 80's and he loves them they have held up really good to.
