What are the differences between the two and which one has better overall versatility. Experiences would greatly be appreciated!

I know from reading tech specs that the new SFB’s have a smaller waist width as well as a longer taper, tip and tail. I also heard the new SFB’s are stiffer and lighter but are nowhere near as fun as the older SFB’s, which is obviously debatable.

The new SFB is pretty much completely redesigned a whole new shape, taper, flex, sidecut etc. For the core the using what they call the Partly Cloudy Core which is a full Paulownia wood core. This makes the ski lighter then last years bacons but it is definitely quite a bit stiffer then the previous model ones. Alot of deciding which one is better is dependent upon what type of skier you are. Do u like a softer more playful ski. Then the older style one would suit you better. But if youre one to stay more on the hard pack or even in the park but still want a fun ski id def take a look at the new style SFB. That's my take on them. Take it for what It's worth. Hopefully it helps.

From what I've heard:

-lighter

-smaller waist (old 108mm new 106mm)

-switched from fatty edge to their standard (probably to save weight)

-tip profile skis pow better

-stiffer
