New search categories/profile information

I was looking in the comments on one of my videos and I saw one that said something along the lines of "cool edit I can't wait to go there this weekend". I clicked the profile and it was a member name I had never seen before. They were from the same town I'm in and going to the same hill I ski at some times.
Then I thought....
Wouldn't it be cool if there was a way to search for members via the town in their profile and their home mountain? Members could select their ski area from a drop down menu as well as the town they are in and then in search you could select a town you want to look for or a ski area and all the members that have those towns or ski areas selected in their profile would show up in the search. Members could also select more than one ski area if they have more than one home ski area.
It would be a great way to find members in your area. I know some of you are going to say, "but that's the point of the regionals forum". Well... not everyone goes in the forums or posts so I think being able to search for members based on their home ski areas or towns would be dope. I like to watch edits from my home hills/area and they don't always show up in the video search because people don't put that information in sometimes.
What are NS's thoughts on this?
 
Yeah, but that only works so well. One of my home hills is Tyrol Basin. If somebody put TB or the Basin or some other variation from what I put in it's not going to show up.
This is a good temporary solution, but if the home mountain section of the profile utilized a drop down menu such as what you can do for the region section in your profile, a search feature would be exceptionally easy (I would think...) to construct because members could only have a specific, already made answer in their profile.

just throwing that out there to hold people until there is a better system implemented
