But in honesty, the name of a dog usually ends up matching something with their personality. I say Bear but that is a pretty common name for dogs it seems.

carl is the name of a rottweiler in a children's book, i think a christmas book, i think it's called carl's christmas actually, so it's not as ironic as it may seem.
when we were thinking of a name for my dog, my parents suggest Dienfinbaker (sp?) the former canadian prime minister ( im canadian) but i was like 7 at the time soo i didnt relise the greatness of that name. jsut think all the posible nicknames like dief or chief.
bear would also be a good name for a rot. i ahve a friend whose rot is named harlem.
