But in honesty, the name of a dog usually ends up matching something with their personality. I say Bear but that is a pretty common name for dogs it seems.
 
You just gave me an idea, Oscar could be good too. Then you can call the doggy Oski or something like that.

I know of 3 rotts with this name... What's with rott owners and this random ironic name? haha.

But really... you should name it 'damnit' that way when you say 'come here damnit!' you will get major lulz.
 
I'm kyle but i was in italy and this got maid me a crepe and asked my name. My crepe had Carl written in nuttella. thus Carl is the best name ever.
My bro named his hound toothbrush. so you would say come here toothbrush commonnn
 
carl is the name of a rottweiler in a children's book, i think a christmas book, i think it's called carl's christmas actually, so it's not as ironic as it may seem.
 
give him a human name like steven or peter.

when we were thinking of a name for my dog, my parents suggest Dienfinbaker (sp?) the former canadian prime minister ( im canadian) but i was like 7 at the time soo i didnt relise the greatness of that name. jsut think all the posible nicknames like dief or chief.

bear would also be a good name for a rot. i ahve a friend whose rot is named harlem.
