New Piste & Park Ski's

Hello, my name is Bart and I ski in The Netherlands (indoor snowworld). I am an ADVANCE TYPE 3+ SKIER that skis everything. but, what I'm looking for in this future pair of skis is a ski that is 70 % park and 30% piste.

i ski 2/3 times a week for 30/40 weeks a year. i work at the ski dome, and there are 2 red piste and 1 park with 3 kickers 9 rails and a few little stuff, so there is where i would use the ski the most of the time.

and i go 1 time a year on ski holiday to Austria

I am 23 years old 183CM long , 185 pounds. and my BUDGET IS no more than 500 euro (+-550 dollar) with bindings.

I now have my 4 year old rossignol S2 pro 160 cm and Marker 11 bindings, they are now way to small for me and they are not center mounted.

i prefer the new ski length to be 174 - 185 cm

i would like to have the new ski's to be center mounted, and i have search for a few ski's and would like to know your opinion and advice :)

My searches:

Atomic Punx 182 2015

Völkl Step 179 2015

K2 Domain 174 2015

Volkl Wall Flat 185 14/15

also i would like to know witch binding is the best for me.

Thanks in advance

Atomic Punx + STH2 WTR 16 90mm i'm at 500 dollar

Volkl Step Flat + STH2 WTR 16 90mm i'm at 450 dollar

Volkl Step Wall + STH2 WTR 16 90mm i'm at 480 dollar

K2 Domain + STH2 WTR 16 100mm i'm at 480 dollar

Your getting a hell of a deal then because the Punx with a STH runs up at around 700 dollars at most places,

Good job on finding some nice deals,

I can for sure recommend the Punx, they're a great ski and can hold up to pretty much any part of the park, i too ski indoors every now and then and punx have no problem dealing with the fake snow although i can not say personally for the rest, although i do hear good things about the Domain

Yeah, i don't know.. i live in the netherlands, many prices here are cheaper then in other places, i converted the prices to dollar, we pay with euro's.

but yeah, was in the local store here, and that where the prices.

the bindings are the right bindings for my skiing purpose ? i have salomon Ghost FS90 boots 29.5

IT sounds like you would have the most fun with the Domain. Indoor areas are the most fun when you can butter it up so I put my vote for the domain, plus they are durable

Okay, tanks for your reply. but don't you think 174cm is to short for me ? since i am 183cm.

my ski's are now 160 cm, and i notice that they are to small for my length and weight.. so is 14 cm more enough ?

K2 is pretty interesting with ski lengths, they run from contact points so a 174 would really be like a 181 or something. My friend had the 169 and then were as big as my Future Spins in 174. The domain is a sick ski

Today i went to the local ski store and saw the domain, and ik think that it is to soft for me because i want to use it also for going hard on black slope's.

they recommended me the k2 shreditor 92 + Marker griffon 90mm 184cm it was 550 dollar.

what is your opinion on that ? for 70 % park 30 % piste

that would be the way to go, ive heard only good things about them and griffons are my go-to binding for everything, the shreditors are durable and have a good width and sidecut for all mountain. with my k2's, i noticed that they're buttery, but can still rip and hold an edge well and are more stable than i expected

i bought the K2 shreditor 92 + Marker Griffon 90, i'm going to test them today.

i got a good deal on them because of a price fault of them. the ski was actually 740 Dollar inc binding, and i got them for 523 dollar inc binding and 3 times maintenance.

i will let you now how my first day on them was

The K2 shreditors are great btw, in park i can do everything the way i like, and on the piste i can carve almost horizontal at topspeed.

i only need to get used to the 24 cm more but after a few runs i could already do a lot more then my old ski's.

my opinion is when u want to do 70 % park 30 % piste, is the shreditor the go to ski
