You can't be mad at him for being successful. If Red Bull told you they'd fund a private halfpipe and you'd have it all to yourself, best snow, and the most amazing filming I bet you'd accept it.

 
if they are going to put that shit next to some great gnar like that, I want to see someone come off the Mt. at mach 1 and take a HUGE hit in that pipe.
 
this is within an hours drive of my houseand i'm gonna be trying to poach it all springcause i'm pretty sure it's on public property

I saw that thing today, freaking ridiculous. I wanted to go hit it pretty bad but Silverton is pretty fun too.

I am not so sure Silverton is US Forrest Public Lands...I have for some reason a recollection from when I was there last season that the owners owned that Land.? I could be wrong though.
 
it would be rad if he invited danny kass to come sesh it, then a massive avalanche came down that shoot above it, which funnels it directly at the pipe for full impact
 
There are tons of mining claims in that area, I'm sure if they tried hard enough they could have bought a mountain. Non of the mining companies are actually active anymore there so I'm sure they would want to sell. Just a guess though.
 
having a claim for the land for mining shouldn't mean that they own the land. At least I don't think that's how it is in Canada... if it runs the same way as logging. the logging company just has a land use lease (or whatever the fancy name for it is) on the area. Timber Falling License's or something along those lines.

Anyways, my point is: just because they have the rights to 'harvest' the land, they don't actually own the land... The land remains crown land.
 
and do Red Bull fund the blasting of that area too? Looks like it would be a fucking death trap if there was a slide off any of those slopes, surely?
