its starting to bother me when people post a picture and then reply to it with the picture in full size or the real picture they wanted to show by linkin to a website. i mean why? when you go to up load a picture, you can choose to upload it from your computer, the 'browse' button, or you can type in the URL. obviously if you plan on linking to the url in the reply, why dont you just do it when you upload?

noooo it doesnt matter. when you link the size could be a gazillion bytes. so thats why it doesnt make sense... am i off base?

Well, even if you link to another site or whatever, NS still compresses the picture to fit in a certain width (between the Online list and the Quick Links) and when it does that, sometimes the picture comes out looking less-than-desirable. So it's a simple matter to post the url to the picture and post it in the comments, where there are no constraints as to the width of the photo, therefore making the picture more aesthetically pleasing and really, really, ridiculously good-looking.

try this...if u get a red X right click and go to properties and go to the page that the pictures on...im assuming its a page with just one pic...then just hit the back button to get back on ns.com see if that works

I have never been able to get the picture to link directly to another site. I think the picture has to be under 100k regardless.

try what i said to do...sometimes if pics dont show up cuz theyre huge...i just go directly to that picture...and let it load properly and then go back and its always there..for me anyways

Teddy and Duncan are right. Unless recently this was changed, you cannot link to a picture bigger than 100k. Im pretty sure ns saves that picture that you link to on the server. So basically, your just telling ns where to find the picture so it can upload it.
