New PC Setups......

how did this happen? every day i've skied pick i've had far too much speed for every jump every run.

There was a headwind. That's why I hiked Payday rails and then went to Jonesey's. Cus without the wind, I'm with you Jeff. I've got to check a lot coming into everything.

sooo...would it be a bad idea to like, put a rope or something to block people from standing so close on the lip for the down rail before the jump line in pick?

most aggravating shit ever.

uh... i havent been able to ski for 4 weeks and havent been checking this. What is this "King Con Ridge park" you speak of.

So you know all the hub bub about no upper joneseys right? They compromised and are adding another park on King Con ridge. I'm not sure about what kind of stuff will be in it, but should be interesting to see a park in another location.

My parents work at PC, and they heard that it is going to be a mini-park..... at least that might keep some little kids out of pick.....if they can find it

Oh man shoot, so like Joneseys is a mini park, and this King Kon one will be a teeny tiny park. Bummer, but i guess we have pick and kings.

You will notice a few changes in Pick. There is a USSA skier slopestyle on Thursday. Pick will be closed on Thursday. The rumors are true. Jonsey's will be closing. The new park, "The Ridge" will replace it. It will be a much longer run and will have it's own chair. They tell me that chair is a 4 minute ride. We are waiting on the build till we make more snow. King's will be opening very soon and from the looks of it will be super fun. I hope this clears up the confusion. Thanks,

Kings will be the biggest, with the Ridge being more of a middle/lower Jonesey's park with lots of jibs and small jumps (I believe this is right, correct me if I'm wrong park guy).

As I was driving up there today, I saw that the landings were complete and there were mounds on them that still need to be made into jumps. Not to sure if there will be a grand opening on monday, but possibly tuesday or wednesday

^ they are more than mounds ontop of the landings.. They are fully shaped lips. I have heard rumor that it will open tomorrow as well. we will see

I don't wanna thread jack but I didn't feel like this deserved its own thread. So anyways I'm gonna be out in SLC for a college visit of the U this week and I wanted to get a little skiing in as well. I'm going to be skiing at PC all day Saturday and wanted to know if anyone would wanna ride? I also wanted to check out the jibyard friday after I got done touring the campus so if anyone would wanna ride with me either friday or saturday that would be great because I'm not a big fan of lapping the park all alone ha.

Sorry for the double post I didn't finish there.

If you are down to ride hit me up with a pm or in this thread, otherwise I've got a black coat, neon green pants, amplids, and a gray helmet so if you see me out there skiing alone saturday feel free to give me a shout out.

See ya on the slopes,

~Kyle Gipper

KINGS IS THE BEST IT HAS EVER BEEN!!!!!!

seriously the most fun park i have ever ridden, thank you pc park team..you guys absolutely killed it.

hands down the most fun park setup this mountain has had since i moved here. all the jumps are super smooth i didn't hit the last but everything else is amazing. great job!!
and free monster also. that was cool.

There is just too much stuff!!! I would say the high lights are the step up to step down. The jump through the thicket. Big step over, The Money Booter, picnic tables, snow wall slides,, EVERYTHING!!!!

holy shit! kings is absolutely fucking epppic! got a shitty run on a go pro i'll post later or tomorrow to show the park

Kings is definitely the most techy park ive seen a mountain put together....so many different options...and that last jump...well, jus go see it for yourself...

pleeeeeeease tell me king con ridge will not be a micro park?? Rather a medium park with legit rails and a line a few medium booters. Perhaps I'm dreaming, but that would be epic and much more worthy of replacing jonsey's than the rumored micro park.

Oh and congrats on putting park city higher on the list of best parks in the world with kings that shit is epic. That step down is easily the gnarliest public feature.

Saw that Kevin (i don't know his last name but i see him up at PC filming and skiing a lot with Blaze Brigade kids) took a gnarly fall on the jumps today. I've been thinking about him for the rest of the day, hoping he's okay and sending positive healing vibes... GET BETTER!!! today claimed quite a few people!
Other than that, Kings is soooo much fun!!!!!! Get up there asap if you haven't already!!!

if you are skeptical about hitting the last jump do not read this. i saw some kid follow another guy in on a snowboard and he cased by like 5-10 feet and landed pretty much next to my friend and i on the deck and slid to the bottom and knew immediately that his leg was broken. pretty fucking sketch fuck.

hit the last jump today for the first time and took it to the bottom of the landing. i don't think i have ever been in the air for so long. no joke. scary as shit.
everything in the park is super fun even the walls at the bottom are enjoyable! great work this year!
