New park ski

So i'm going to start skiing again this year and I have never done anything in the park with skis?And I was wondering what would be a good ski? I'm thinking about getting the line invaders. Thanks.
 
if your just going to be doing jibs, rails that sort of thing invaders would be awesome. But they are very flexy which makes landing a tad difficult. I would prolly reccomend a more versatile ski so you can ski the whole mountain expecially since you are just starting park skiing
 
Well, if you are just getting into park skiing, and would like to do all mountain, you probably don't want the Line Invaders.

You want a stiffer ski, like the AR6's, Troublemakers, or the Rossignol Scratch. More info on how you ski, you weight might help
 
I am 6,1 tall and weigh about 155 pounds. I will probably be spending most of my time in the park because there isn't much else to do where I ski.
 
I live on the east coast so it gets pretty icy. i might go to quebec next year and I don't know what kind conditions they have but I asume that they would be similar.
 
Hmm 176 Dumont would be decent, maybe a little smaller than most people would say, but because you are just starting out i think they would fit you fine.
 
k cool what do guys think about the skogans though? if I got them i would probably get new skis next season.
 
Hmm sounds like you should just buy a pair of last years skis on sale somewhere, and save yourself some money if you are just going to get new ones next year. Skogens are decent skis though. What size?
 
Skogens would be fine if your just going to buy new skis next year...No point in dropping couple hundred if your just going to get new ones...
 
The invaders are a pretty forgiving, good performing park ski, they are great switch and light for spinning and well balanced, plus have good pop an dbutte really easily, but they ahve huge durability issues. My Brother got the 06-07 ones and the tips and tails of teh topsheets are chipped down to the wood, edge is starting to delam. on one of the tails, and there are 2 or 3 core shots in the bottom, which is really soft, slow material. Theya re really cheap though, so if its just for one season, shouldn't be too bad. I would definitely check out the Salomon Thrusters or SPKs and Volkl Walls, or something used if I were you. Also you might want to check out Moment Renos, Movement Kamasutras, or Liberty Larose pros if you want something not from a huge company.

if your friend is sellin em cheap and theyr still in moderatly good shape....my vote is on skogs!!

but fujis are good starter all mt ski

yeah, i would get those Skogens used and ride 'em like you stole them. It is more environmentally friendly too, cause u are not increasing demand for a company to use resources to amke more new skis, if you know what I mean. Fujatives are pretty good but PE's are pretty heavy for spinning, great all mtn though. and tough.
 
I curently ski up at poley mountain in New Brunswick. I might end up living in montreaal next year though depending on my grades.
 
well personally i think line makes the best park skis, and invaders are absolutley sick and have a legit price but seeing as you are just getting into park and you will probally be skiing some groomers i would go with fujatives.
 
agreed

id go wit fujis, invaders, ar6...

possibly PE's depending on how hard you ski and whether you can handle the weight cuz theyr rather heavy IMO
