New Park Board?

Academy

Alright everyone,

So I was considering buying new bindings with my money from work, until I realized that the whole toeside edge of my Academy Recruit is coming off. So its time to invest in a new deck...

I just wanted to know what everyone at NS has to say. I'm 5'9 and 135lb (lighter rider). Because of this I prefer a flexier board. I live on the east coast and ride a smaller mountain, mostly boxes, downrails, handrails, etc. But I definitely want to get some bigger spins off jumps this year. So overall a board for more icy east coast riding focused on jibs but able to work well on jumps. And again I prefer a smaller board with some flex.

So far I was considering the K2 WWW 148. I just think that 148 might be a bit too small not really sure. The next size up is a 152. I'm probably looking for around a 150 I'd say.

Hopefully you can all help me out. I won't be buying a board for a while after this so I hope that I make a good choice. Thanks.

i got a K2 darkstar and its awesome. good flex but retains pretty good pop as well. i think you can get them pretty long too.

lol im like an a 1/2 inch taller than you but like 10-15 pounds lighter. what does the make me?? an anorexic boarder?? $150 i kinda tough to find a good board in but i could be wrong but i definately say 148 is a bit too small if you wanna still do jumps and stuff. jibin would be fun and just huck but off jumps i dont think it would work. IMO. but definately check out some capita stuff too. rockered and non rockered. horoscope FK, stairmaster which i think is not rockered but again, i could be wrong, but they might be too expensive, didnt really look at prices of em lol

hm. i don't really have anything to put on the table for men's boards considering i'm not a man, but i would definately say a 148 is too small. i'm 5'5 and i rode a 149 last season, this season im riding a 146. i would say you at least need a 150, especially if you want to land jumps.

so many sick boards in wide these days. WWW or parkstar for me

Still trying to decide, maybe both. I might get the www in a 53. IT says you can down size 5cm but i figure with the rocker it's gonna be too loose for jumps, But i really want a solid jib board.

And the parkstar just looks beastly for all around.

Bataleon fun kink 149, amazing especcialy with tbt my second choice to that would be bataleon airoboc 151, i got the hook up with them so ive rode the entire set up. and yes TBT is really the shit.
