Yeah I’m super bummed I don’t receive free boring ass skis that aren’t made well whatsoever.

carney and bdog alone could level any continent imo

Didn't even mention t wall, brogan, keegan, or young snow either, NA swag is undefeated, especially east coast

BPC the future and underlines the future of skiing with regard to climate change way more than every shitty monologue in a tgr or matchstick film

European skiers way steezier than american

I could agree with this but I feel like more American / Canadian people have had a bigger influence on style, especially in terms of clothing

Bunch is a continuation of max hill, Leigh powis and Corey vanular's skiing. They might not have ever said it but just watching them its pretty evident. Idk who the Superproof guys got inspo from tho

more a continuation of bdog imo, who was inspired by mickael, just like cvan. the grip that the bunch had on skiing during 2015-2019 ish with trackpants, hvx200, swerve.. was insane, everyone wanted to dress like them.

B dog still from canada so that doesnt change much, but I would bet my life even b dog would credit a large portion of his insp from those guys, probably vanular specifically though.

Corey invented pretzels, right?

Idk man I don’t think the super proof crew had as much influence as you’re saying. Vanular somewhat but I think b & e style is pretty obviously derived mostly from early t hall and mik d. Liam Downey, the first dude to hit street rails with real steeze, for sure needs to be mentioned here as well.

also worth noting that a lot of these guys have truly original style, skiers like bmack, Candide and delorme ski differently than literally everyone.

lotta names from both sides of the Atlantic in there. I think North America was the main driver of style in the early days, then it switched to Scandinavia in the mid-late 2010s, now it’s back to NA but the buldoz crew for sure deserves recognition for progressing style in recent years

Bar for bar!

I was talking more about trick selection which to me is the biggest part of style and I might be wrong but I would honestly argue Max Hill and Corey were the first people to make pressing the shit outta ur skis cool which then later became like a Bunch staple.

Leigh powis just had a wild spot selection he was one of the first people I saw hitting really unique shit, like pull up to a spot and not even touch the handrail a still get a clip. Maybe I do give them too much credit tho

Max hill for sure took butters to the next level, but I view his style in the same vein as cole drexler, and I don’t see tons of skiers repping that super snappy type of style today. It’s sick af and needs to come back. Leigh powis is kinda similar I got mad respect for his unique flavor but idk if I see that many people skiing like him now. Very good point about spot selection

needed that dollo clip to remind me of t rains, that guy single-handedly made doing grabs off rails cool. In the pre 2005 days doing a grab off a rail and also one footers were def considered “rollerblade tricks” and were therefore WACK lmao, I’m so glad we progressed beyond that

mickael did butters and capped his blunts in 2001. and yes corey did the first 2p2 i believe

Allot of American skiers have mad steez and i think Bdog has one of the greatest styles ever. What i mean is that its the OGs in America that got style. What i mean i feel like by the younger generations you see more up n coming European skiers with style than American if that make sense. Maybe im wrong but from what ive seen from America the new skiers mostly ggot weird color homemade pants and reflexes and just spinning as much as possible while here in Europe style is what allot of skiers is focusing on and there is allot of young skiers with hella steez like Dani B and Ez Pvnda. I hope it makes sense and maybe im wrong. Maybe its only in USA and Canadian skiers has more steez

If anything i think you have it a little mixed up, dani b and ez, forre and harlaut crew and the bunch, bldz are already here and quite honestly dominating. The up n coming guys in europe are lacking the style and finesse of the young homies in the US and canada.

Side note: skiers from New Zealand have the sickest style right now

Yeah them Wells boys be stylin and allot of good NZ skiers. I think it is because theyre skiing there in when we got summer and then in Europe in the winter so they get double seasons. Yeah Buldoz and The Bunch been in the game for a while youre right. But Dani B is only 18 i think and also Matej i wouldnt call them OGs but theyre definetly established in skiing and are pros. But I be skiing in Sweden and when i went to Åre so many stylish skiers in the park and I see that in the freestyle skiing scene here style really matters maybe different in the alps but i see alot of fire ski clips from there and im more impressed than most american ski clips. And also theres alot of really fire ski vids and crews from Finland now. Even the comp jocks in Kläppen got steez and here in the north part of Sweden if you go to the fjälls allot of steezy skiing.

because you haven’t seen them yet

Younger generations never have style, most people don't have actual style until they are close to their 20s except for child prodigies like wallisch or keegan.

What I notice at resorts here is people don't really do the gilla baggy thing as much, it's more just fitted clothing and trying to go as fast and clean as possible, prob had a lot to do with carney

Also worth mentioning that the bunch coming the US and riding/filming with the HG guys appears to have influenced their skiing too.

Even as a Canadian I wouldn't claim this. There's a lot of very hardworking and skilled younger Canadian skiers but most of them don't seem to have a particularly progressive style or trick selection imo. But of course they're younger, so I imagine it will be a very different situation in a few years, when they'll have figured out their own style and way of skiing.
