New Little Edit Shot In 5d Raw Video

Liked that edit man, simple and clean!

Maybe I've been watching to many RED edits lately but I couldn't really see to much more added detail or sharpness esp in the skiing shots compared to normal. Maybe due to being handheld? Do you have a non raw 5D skiing vid to compare to? The lifestyle shots of close up were really cool though, could see more there for sure.

Interested in what you think of the hack and workflow as I've been thinking about hacking mine for more documentary work.
 
Ya no doubt. Had the fs700 in the shop getting upgraded so i couldn't use it this week. So i thought hey why not try the 5d raw.

I shot this in 1280x544 I couldn't shoot in full resolution did not have a fast enough card to shoot 1080 60. But the amount of control in post is amazing with raw. The detail is great to compared to the 5d h264. This was my first time shooting with the 5d so not to familiar with it.

I am curious to see how the 5d raw holds up against my fs700 raw. From what i have seen i don't think it will be a comp but we shall see.

As for the hack and workflow. I like it. I like it a lot. But it will defiantly eat up your memory fast. Reecording 70gigs a day when i shoot raw.
 
After watching not the web and computer i think a lot of the detail is lost via web. Try downloading it to see the full detail.

Internet is a tough outlet for raw, when you compress something to 3mbps so people can stream it, its pointless to shoot raw ha. Now in a theatre this would be awesome.
 
Truth to that for sure. Raw is not that great for web use. This was the first time ever shooting raw. But i have to say i was mind blown at how much room you have in post. It was like christmas haha. I could do what ever i wanted with the image in post with out the huge consequences of compression. Worth the slowed down workflow and mass amount of storage??? Tough to say. Probobaly not....
