New Little Cloud Lift

I am sure most of you have heard by now that Little Cloud is being upgraded to a quad this summer. It should make spring skiing much more enjoyable in the years to come. What are you guys thoughts on this? Opposed or for it? Personally I am for this long overdue upgrade. Should help reduce tram lines even further with people opting to go "around the world now".
 
I am glad they are upgrading little cloud as I despise the tram. I am not pleased they are upgrading Gad 2 to a high speed quad next summer. It is going to get tracked out so quickly on storm days. It should make for great tiger tail laps on the days after storms though.
 
kyle the new G2 lift is supposedly going to be lower capacity than the current lift (i guess the chairs will just be spaced very far apart?), so i'm all for it as long as that remains the case, high speed left on LC is rad too.
 
I know that is what snowbird said in their statement. But I have heard from some very reliable sources that "lower capacity" will not mean much.
 
wouldn't surprise me, if it is similar capacity whether the same or a little higher i'm OK with it but if it doubles traffic, that is not going to be cool.
 
Little Cloud- stoked, long overdue.

Gad 2- I liked the low traffic two seater. Tiger Tail gets thrashed quickly enough as it is, this won't help.
 
I'm with all of you on this.

Little Cloud is a needed improvement for a too slow lift that will leave you freezing.

But I love Gad 2 being old school - keeps it feeling like a hidden part of the mountain
 
gad 2 has the best stuff on the mountain. Upgrading to a quad means that it will get tracked out more. But most people dont really go out on the Tiger Tail traverse, so its not that big of a deal
 
Hopefully with the installation of the new gad 2 quad theyll extend the lift up the ridge. I know that'll mean a shit ton more patrol work after storms but imagine how much shit that would open up. Thunder bowl would be easier access and all the terrain that you had to traverse way out to from road to provo would be easier to ski as well.

I'm not really a fan of either revamps as i think but will result in more crowd and it kinda eliminated whatever soul snowbird had left. There are no longer anything other than high speed quads except mid gad and chickadee now. But i guess thats what the "resort" needs.
